Alessandra Ambrosio

Fingers crossed we get to see her on one of the next LOVE cover...

^Fingers crossed too. I stand with what I said Katie, I would buy it:wink::wink:

Anyway, I was wondering, isn't it weird that she's in H&M's swimwear catalogue given her swimwear line? I'm not good with contracts and exclusivity and I don't understand why she would promote a swimwear collection that isn't from her brand.

^yeah I was wondering that too because she couldn't do VS Swim anymore because of her brand but now she's doing H&M... I'm really glad she did because I love her for H&M but I was surprised.

GQ February 2016 (reprint Lui November 2014)

I was wondering why they would use a reprint for GQ and if something was brewing up. It's a pleasant surprise to see her on the cover a bit later. It was weird that we got an old pic for the editorial (and that it came out before the cover) and a new pic for the cover. Finally I realized the old pic is for GQ UK and the new cover is for US GQ, both the same month.

Glad the L'Oreal work came out but I hate how they photoshop the hair like no other, I get it's an ad but still.... way too fake.

I wish there was a single shot of Ale so it wasn't "Ronaldo + female accessory" and the styling/set design is a bit cheesy, but I must say that they make a beautiful couple. Congrats to Ale for a US GQ cover, hopefully Conde Nast pays attention!

I can't believe she's on the cover of GQ US with Cristiano, that's amazing

Cristiano Ronaldo ruins the shoot IMO. She's sexy enough to pull this alone. If child looking Kendall Jenner can have a solo cover then Alessandra can have one too.
Cristiano is hiding her body in three pictures. That's a shame considering Ale's smoking hot physique.
Anyways, thanks for updating her work Oxymore! I'm really disappointed to barely see any HF work... VS can save a career but the contract restrictions are limiting her HF work. Of course, she doesn't need to do much runway but a little more HF wouldn't hurt (and I would love it):woot::heart:

I lost all hope she would make a come back to high fashion long ago.. She's now bound to VS and stuff like that, unfortunately.

^I'm dreaming to see her come back like in 2010 and 2011 when she was everywhere, but we can't ask for everything I guess, what she's been producing so far is amazing work.

Totally with you on the Kendall Jenner point, the editorial is a little too tacky for my liking and I wish a different photographer had been chosen. At least I don't think she's being used as "hot woman accessory" as much as I originally thought. Her name is issued on the cover and at least they're both in underwear, but he's really the focus of the editorial which is just upsetting because we've seen other models (Adriana, KK, Miranda, Kendall, Gisele) as front and center when they had the cover + editorial. But you know what, the cover of US GQ is still amazing and Cristiano has like 40M+ followers on instagram so I'm sure that's just good publicity and will add to her popularity. Let's face it, Irina is as popular as she is because of this guy.

Re: HF, man I could write a book on this topic by now. The truth is that VS is not restricting Ale at all at this point. She shoots for the holiday commercial and she does the show, that is it. She hasn't appeared in a commercial or the catalog in 3 years at least.

I think the problem is that she doesn't have a consistent supporter in HF. The only editor/stylist who really ever loved her was Katie Grand and she hasn't used her in an editorial/campaign since Love's S/S 2014 issue when David Armstrong shot her in Miami. Jilian Davison at Glamour actually seems to like her a lot, so I'm hopeful for a US Glamour cover again.

No photographer aside from Stewart Shining really considers her a muse. And if she doesn't have people actively thinking about her to cast her for a cover or an editorial or a campaign then it's not going to happen.

Right now the only person I can think of who adores her is Olivier Rousteing at Balmain, and even he doesn't give her a campaign. Fingers crossed for the next one.

As always, I'd love to see her land a Vogue Paris and a Vogue Italia cover in the same month and front blue-chip campaigns like Louis Vuitton/Prada, but I'm happy to see her just expanding what she's doing.

The past few months have actually been great with regards to exposure:

-4 shows in the past fashion week season (Balmain x HM, Balmain, Philosophy, DSquared)
-US GQ and Maxim covers (her Maxim cover being the best seller in 2 years)

I personally think she has to step up her campaign game, but L'Oreal and Cesare Paciotti will both be great. And we have a US Vogue feature coming up (fingers crossed for only girl and more than 1 page please), another Vogue Brazil cover, and 2 unknown covers.

My desire for 2016 is that she gets those low-hanging Vogue covers, there's no reason why she couldn't easily land a Vogue Thailand/Korea/Portugal/Ukraine cover this year.
