Don't have a boob job as young as I did, says WAG Alex Curran (who had hers at just 18)

In the world of WAGs, being upfront about your problems is all in a day's work.
We know how they risk their nail extensions lugging designer shopping bags and bravely face the danger of turning orange thanks to too much fake tan.
But Alex Curran has confessed to another problem - her surgically enhanced breasts are too big.

Miss Curran, who is married to Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard, has advised young women to think carefully before opting for breast enlargement.

True to her WAG roots, it is not the risks of cosmetic surgery that concern her. It is the difficulty in finding the right clothes.
'I find with larger breasts it can be harder to find clothes to fit you, so think long and hard before you do it,' she wrote in her column for New magazine.
Miss Curran, 26, went from a B to a D-cup when she had surgery at 18 in 2001.
But eight years later and now a mother of two, it seems she has had a change of heart.
In fact she is urging young women - many of whom aspire to her looks and lifestyle - to
delay breast surgery until after they have children.
'I regretted the boob job I had when I was 18,' she wrote.
'I've got used to them now, but if you're thinking about it, I would advise you to wait until you've had children before you consider a boob job because your body changes so much after that.'
She added: 'Also, I find with larger breasts it can be harder to find clothes to fit you - so think long and hard before you do it.'
Miss Curran, who has two daughters - four-year-old Lilly and two-year-old Lexie - with Gerrard, first spoke of her breast enlargement in 2005.

'Yes, I've had a boob job,' she said at the time.
'I did it to make me feel better, not for anyone else.
'Although I'm sure Steven doesn't mind them.'
But she was still embarrassed on her wedding day, when the groom's best man Jonathan Boggan cracked a risque joke about her implants during his speech.
Reflecting on the successes enjoyed by Gerrard, he added: 'none more so than when you got Alex's jugs done'.

Any A-list American stars looking for somewhere to party after the MTV Europe Music Awards last night didn't need to to look too far- they simply had to follow Alex Curran.
Liverpool's leading WAG was thrilled her hometown was hosting such a star-studded bash and continued the night's festivities at one of city's top nightspots, the Newz Bar.
Dressed in a black and white playsuit with patent high-heels, the 26-year-old left husband Steven Gerrard and their two daughters at home for a night out by the Mersey.

By the early hours of this morning, Curran looked ready for bed as she left the bar clutching a bottle of water and covering her face with her hands as she jumped into a taxi with a female pal.
Curran wasn't the only WAG at the MTV Awards - Louise Owen arrived with her husband Michael Owen.

'Even us WAGs are having to cut back': Credit crunch catches up with Alex Curran

Last updated at 8:00 AM on 10th February 2009

It appears as though no one is immune from the credit crunch - not even WAGs.

As the recession continues to affect global economy, Alex Curran has become conscious of spending too much money.
The footballer's wife claims that despite having her hair done twice a week, she is frugal at heart - and even does her own nails.

Curran, 26, is also cutting back on her partying in a bid to keep fit for 2009.

Recessionista: Alex Curran, seen here shopping last month, claims she has cut back on her spending and buys as many clothes on the High Street as from designer stores

Alex, who is frequently pictured laden down with bags from Liverpool’s designer boutique Cricket told Closer magazine: 'I think people – especially WAGs – are becoming more conscious of spending money now.'
'I’ve never bought labels for the sake of it. I buy as many clothes in Topshop and All Saints as I do designer. And I won’t buy an item if I don’t think it’s worth the money.'

But despite her glossy image, Alex insists she’s not high maintenance: 'I get my hair done twice a week, but I’m not that bothered about pampering,

'I do my nails myself – the nail varnish I’m wearing was only £2 from a bargain bin!'

Alex, who is married to Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard, has no qualms about being referred to as a WAG, but claims she was disappointed at Cheryl Cole’s recent outburst in a magazine interview, where she declared that all WAGS were 'like wooden blocks.'

She said: 'I don’t take much notice when people slag off WAGs, but it’s unfair to lump us all together like that.

'I’m sure there are some girls out there who do just want to be with a footballer so they can spend all his money, but most of the wives and girlfriends I know aren’t like that.'

The WAG has been toning up as part of her new year's resolution to get fit

The full interview with Alex Curran from Closer magazine goes on sale tomorrow

Alex has stuck to her new year’s resolution to get fit and tone up and has already lost half a stone in just three weeks.

She explained: 'I just wanted to tone up – especially my stomach. I’m happy at the size I am, and being too thin doesn’t suit me. I’m not a fan of the skinny look – I think Angelina Jolie has an amazing face, but she’s gone too thin now.'

'I used to be such a party girl. But now I know that if I have a big night out, I’ll sleep late the next day and will probably eat junk food,' she says.

'I’ve turned down a few nights out already. And now that I’m working out, I’m also too busy to shop.'

Having a super-fit Premiership footballer has certainly helped motivate Alex, but Steven is as shocked as his wife with her sudden transformation.

She revealed: 'Steven has always encouraged me, saying "You should get into exercise, you’ll like it."
'But I don’t think he ever believed I would – and that I ‘d actually enjoy it!'
Alex and Gerrard have two daughters, Lily-Ella and two-year-old Lexie.
Last week, she advised young women to think carefully before opting for breast enlargement. She had the surgery at the age of 18.

WAG Alex Curran has shown off her fantastic new figure in a sultry photoshoot after losing half a stone in three weeks.

The blonde bombshell put her curves on show in a two-tone outfit and skin bare of any accessories other than wedding and engagement ring.
She wore a tight olive-green top and jacket and a form-fitting red skirt, which barely made it halfway to her knees.

I don't believe that Alex has any concerns over the credit crunch. She will continue to buy designer labels because thats what she always does!

I dont understand why most of WAGs have such a tacky style...
And i started to hate that fake tan

WAG Alex Curran is just wild about fashion... as she steps out in a pair of leopard-print shorts
By Daily Mail Reporter

It may not have been shorts weather, but she kept the cold out with a pair of heavy-duty opaque black tights which she paired with super-high platform ankle boots from TopShop.
The young mother of two, 26, is rarely seen looking less than immaculate and today was no exception.

Alex is clearly keen to show off her newly toned figure. The former exercise phobic shed half a stone in three weeks after finally sticking to her new year's resolution to get fit.

She told Closer: 'I just wanted to tone up – especially my stomach. I’m happy at the size I am, and being too thin doesn’t suit me.'

Alex's fashionable moment came as she stepped out to run errands on the day Liverpool Fashion Week is launched.

After meeting her friend Kelly for lunch she then popped to pick up items from a health store.

Alex is no doubt keen to be in tip-top condition for the highlight of the Liverpool social calendar as Liverpool Fashion Week launches tonight with a big party expected to attract the city's premier WAGs and celebrities.

The week-long event will showcase the latest collections on catwalks in venues across the city next month.

Liverpool Fashion Week, which was first launched in the city last March, is being fronted by Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan.

The 21-year-old soap star will be joined by a host of celebrities when she takes to the runway for charity gala fashion show, Scouse In The City, at Liverpool’s Olympia on March 13.

Michelle said: 'Liverpool has a fantastic, vibrant fashion scene. You can see that when you walk down the city centre high street or see the effort people go to when they hit the clubs.'

I quite like those shorts on her! She wears them well! I miss seeing candids of her!
