A hat-trick for the WAGs as Alex Curran scores with Vogue

Fans of style-bible Vogue will be throwing their copies at the wall in despair next month.

In what can only be viewed as a fashion faux pas, WAG Alex Curran who is married to Liverpool and England footballer Steven Gerrard, has been shot for the December issue.

It seems the surgically enhanced 27-year-old Northerner – who is best known for stepping out in Juicy Couture tracksuits and nail extensions – has been shot for a diary-style spread for the leading fashion magazine and may even appear on the cover.

‘Alex was shot over several days during London Fashion Week and had a separate studio shoot arranged,’ said a source.

‘The spread has been pencilled in for five pages and she may even be the cover.

‘Alex is over the moon about it and can’t wait – she has always wanted to appear in the magazine. She has been very careful to tell only close family members and friends.’

Last year, I revealed how Vogue received a number of complaints and cancelled subscriptions when Victoria Beckham became the first footballer’s wife on the cover.

In February this year, Cheryl Cole followed suit.
Victoria Beckham has embarked on yet another bizarre diet – surviving on berries and sashimi.

Victoria’s only indulgence is a glass of wine every evening,’ says a source.

'She thinks she’s the best ambassador for the clothes she designs – so she wants to be model thin.’

Her previous fads include seaweed shakes, edamame beans and the occasional cup cake.

She's no worse than Cheryl Cole who as we all know has apparead on the cover of Vogue, so why can't she? Vogue stopped being "model's territory" (cover wise and in general) a long time ago

at least Cheryl has a successful career. Alex doesn't. She's well known for being Steven Gerrard's wife and nothing more.

Yeah, she has it NOW. She may have been in girl group before she married Ashley Cole (footballer btw) but, if she didn't i doubt she would have made it this big now regardless being in Girls Aloud. It defininitely helped her being married to a footballer, WAG at the end of the day. So i can't see why Alex Curran can't do the same, use her arriage as a platform. Anyway, if she does make the cover i'm quite interested to see what's gonna be like
