^^ She looks gorgeous there. I have to say though that I went back and look at the first hundred pages or so of this thread and I find myself liking her style in those early days much more than her style right now. I know that style evolves etc. etc. but I think that her style back then resonates more because it seems like something I could relate to. Also, it seemed that she gave even the simplest outfits her own personal twist, something undefinable and yet beyond a doubt entirely Alexa.
But I have to say that I went and invested in some serious eye liner entirely because of her. Now I just have to learn how to put it on.....

So true. I guess it's because when you don't have much money and have to buy high street clothes, you have to be more creative in order to stand out from the other girls. Now that she can afford (or is given, I don' know) expensive designer clothes, she must feel like she doesn't need to make much of an effort to give them a personal touch.
I used to adore her older style too. And she looks so cute in this little stripey dress.

I'd say I prefer her style in the "earlier days" too but looking at recent candids and screencaps I actually really love what she's been wearing lately.
She had so many great basic items that she accessorized in the early days, all her dresses, smocks, skirts...and talking heads and sonic youth tshirts, where as recently she has been layering wonderful coats, scarves and boots. I'm really growing on her hair at the moment too I think it's absolutely wonderful.
And I mean as she earns more its only natural for someone with an interest in fashion to wear more designer items.

Oh I agree that she looks absolutely stunning now - but in a different way maybe.
She looks more... I don't know... sharp? She definitely grew into her style.
I also prefered her with more meat on her legs but her face is much more striking now... less "cute".
She's definitely the celebrity I like the most stylewise anyways.

A few months ago my PC crashed and I lost alllll my pictures of Alexa, amongst others...
some day I'll have to go through this entire thread to save them again...

I agree with everything you just said and I recently went through the entire thread again and it's quite amazing how much her career, style and exposure have "evolved" over the last 2 and a half - 3 years.

The NY Confessions of a Shopaholic special outfit that she was papped in is just fantastic. It looks even better there.
She looks beautiful in that promo for Popworld. AH!
I like her hair like that but it's just so much more sassy and fashionable shorter.
The Virgin ad is funny. It sucks that they can still use it. There should be an expiry date on things like that!
I love the blue and white top from the interview.... I wanna see more of it... is it a top or a dress?
and a tip for the person who invested in some serious eye liner inspired by Alexa, the first few times you put it on, put your elbow on the table to steady your hand.
I love MAC liquid last. It doesn't budge. Alexa's said she likes Bobby Brown but she probably gets sent so many that she changes. I think the Bobby Brown only comes in a pen which I don't like but it good if you're not used to applying liquid liner.
Flicky eyes are the best and Alexa always gives good flicks.
