Alexander McQueen F/W 09.10 : Tara Gill by David Burton

Oh I really like it. As long as they don't have the maeup they used in the show, I'll be fine, but I really like it :)

i like that he translated his runway theatrics into something a little more digestible for the campaign

^^I agree. In fact, it makes you realize that the clothes themselves are actually, for the most part, well designed and attractive. Goes to show you how distracting and unnecessary all the theatrical runway high jinks were.

Ohh! Very nice!

Does anyone actually know why we never see his ads in magazines?

I don't like that point about mirror's efect. Maybe it would be great idea for showing clothes from all sides..but I don't like it.

I like them, but the collection was so great these ads are too bland.

Why they won't be in magazines? I dont know either.

they never are, i don't know either, back in the days i thought he didn't need to, but as the shows became more and more branded and comercial, i thought they would also change the strategy...

It looks more like the Lanvin Rumeur fragrance campaign with Amanda Moore. But it's hardly a rip off.

I was talking about the first image posted with Tara.
The rest looks breathtaking though.

The show was great and so are the ads! Those clothes are too well made! :crush: Love you Alexander!

Definitely, the obscure aesthetic is there, although I wouldn't mind if it looked a bit more like the show and included some of the dramatic head-pieces.

Love the ads...

i dont understand why his campaigns are never in magazines , gucci group need to stop putting multiple gucci campaigns in one magazine and put some of his in print

the last time i saw one of his campaigns in print was 'My Queen by McQueen' back in 2005 ish

this doesn't look like a campaign at all. and... well, the clothes are not wearable. but that's trademark mcqueen i guess.
