Alexander McQueen for MAC Collection

I checked the MAC store today, and it's not out yet, so definitely next week.

I've seen it severa times, the 3 eye stuff colors aren't any special (you can get similar shades from the permanent collection). The MSF is far too glittery and the lipglasses look unspectacular... I only got the Khol Power in Feline, gorgeous pencil because the black is so deep...

^ haha, i did hear that 'New Vegas' (the Mineralize Skinfinish) is quite flashy! it might be nice for that sort of glittery look but is probably not practical for me (i really love the soft, 'glowy' ones like Lightscapade), but that hasn't stopped me in the past. i did hear that the Kohl Power pencil was veryvery black, i'll probably pick that one up.

you know, since i'm planning to buy a bunch of this line I think I'll go as Elizabeth's version of Cleopatra for Halloween. After all, it was the inspiration...

I'd definitely get the Khol Power in Feline, I've tried many black Khols and this one is the darkest by far (I have a comparison pic on my blog)
I always thought MSFs were all about glowy shimmer, but New Vegas tought me something different...

They don't have much though, and doesn't look that amazing.

It wasn't at my Mac store today...they only had Mattene out, which is permanent. I don't think I'll be getting anything from the Mcqueen collection though, I already have similar shades.

^ i heard that it's only at freestanding and pro stores now, but it should be out at counters on the 11th.

i'm going to check it out - i don't really have anything like any of the McQueen products. maybe i'll pick up one of the vibrant paint pots (Otherworldly is beautiful) and the Feline pencil. who knows, maybe New Vegas will be calling my name.

It's out today! My MAC store had everything but one lipglass, which they said they never got.

Anyway, the eyeshadows aren't really that great on their own. You have to really pile on the color for it to show up. But on top of the paint pots, they're lovely. I also tried on both lipsticks, and didn't really like either one.

I already have New Vegas, so I only ended up getting Haunting and Pagan eyeshadows, and Otherwordly and Pharoah paint pots.

I got the Haunting and Nile shadows today, which I'm in love with. Nile is especially awesome. The Pagan I got a look at it in the store and it's bright. Which is good if you like that, it's not for me though.

They are basically like cream eyeshadow and can be applied as such. They are creamier and dry more slowly than the tube-syle paints so you have more blendability and layerability (is that a word? I don't think so). They can also act as a base for shadows. SO for example you could layer a shimmery gold over the bright blue and it would tone it down. Or you can layer more bright on it and it would really pop. Of course they can be used as cream liners too.

My MAC store just had an unveiling event I went to for all the new products and I ordered the haunting and nile e/s, the otherworldly and electro sy paint pots, and feline kohl powder line. And some stuff from the "antiquease" collection. Excited to get it! You could buy it there but I just wanted my girl to buy it with her discount and give it to me later. Shhh!

ugh, i am going to be checking frasers all the time now, i want some paintpots for sure, perhaps a light gold lipstick

Tanarama is also a very light gold, but permanent lipstick, maybe you wanna check that one out too
