Alexander McQueen Menswear F/W 2023.24 London

The suiting is to die for, as expected. And the variations of suitings proposed aren’t anything that Gaultier hasn’t already offered decades ago, but still cut so impeccably.

Could have down without the huge Yohji floral prints… And would have made a stronger impact had the cast been a more classically handsome bunch cleansed off the silly face jewelry, instead of these faux-punky types that resemble Riccardo's Givenchy men but in twink-form, which is just tired standard fare these days.

ditto! @Phuel

the tailoring is indeed pristine! a very safe but pretty solid collection.

I especially love the pieces with the detail on them

Oh this is some lovely suiting and tailoring. The flowers though only really work with the red and black colour combination, as I find and enjoy that they start to look a little like something else and not so obviously "edgy floral". And I do wish she would move on from the puffer/bomber jacket variants.

Same sentiments regarding the casting. A bit sick and tired of the twinky-fashion-skinhead/punk models that a look a little Oliver Twist peaky.

I wasn’t expecting much when I opened the thread but I was extremely pleased. Very precise and lovely proportions that elevate what kind be considered basic essential looks but I will take it. I’m really glad this is one brand that didn’t devolve too much into streetwear. This kind of luxurious suiting with a modern twist is needed these days.

Her menswear collections are always so strong. Wished they kept the menswear shows or atleast included them in their shows. The puffer/bomber variants i can support but she needs to move on from the mens suits with cutouts.

The McQueen brand DNA is the opposite of normcore, and Sarah Burton was smart to recognise that and stay true to it in her tenure. Yes, they do have sneakers etc, but they didn't go all the way into the trends there.

I'm with everyone else here, love the tailoring but think they could do with losing some of the prints (not all).
