Alexander McQueen skull scarf (August 2004 - November 2010)

I used to like it when i first saw it, but its not my style really, but i could see that if it would suit your style while you'd like it. In fact i like it a lot less since i saw a picture of sharon osborne wearing one, i dont know it felt werid seeing ehr in one.... not sure why though ... ???

ok so i gave in lol i got a black and white one like 2 months ago lol ... just to see how ive changed lol, then again my whole stayle has changed recently

They have started selling fakes of the McQueen scarf?

I find that really tacky.

I am so sad to see this scarf get so hyped up, why did McQueen have to reintroduce it?

It looses some of it's appeal.. IMO, it's not that special anymore and i def. feel it's too trendy.

I agree with you, I initially hated when I found out what it was because I first saw it on mk olsen..... .....

but now I am really starting to like the black one with white skulls, as long as it does not have the ALEXANDER MCQUEEN written all over it I am fine, so I don't mind the fake because it's logo-less.....

Actually, I just want a SKULL scarf, be it mcqueen or not, I don't really mind at all, I would even actually prefer skulls with the crossed bones below....

I dont like these scarves either..way too trendy and overhyped in my opinion. I used to think they were cool but now everyone is getting them. If he didnt make them anymore it would be ok but no..of course they had to reintroduce it with lots of tacky colors.

I used to feel special with my scarf, I loved it, i feelt it had an 'edge' not, something everyone would wear as it was- skulls, and some used to find it quite morbid i remember.

now i just feel like Im jumping on a trend-wagon, I want to hide my scarf till this trend dies down, and then i can start wearing it again..

by that time it will be vintage-McQueen

Hey guys. Can anyone tell me where I get the Mcqueen black and white skullscarf? Ive been looking all over asia and there's just no hope. I am willing to make long distant phone calls to order one. Pls can anyone tell me if there's stock at the mcqueen store in ny? or london perhaps?

^ i spoke to the girl that sells them there (or used to-she sold out). she had one on, and it looked real. I'm guessing from what she said they are copies because she was talkin to me about the printing etc, and they were only £20. hers looked amazing though

I know the girl that was selling them - they are VINTAGE scarves she was selling! Almost identical to the real thing except they were made from cotton! The skull print scarf is not an original idea, McQueen copied it from vintage...so all those of you harping on about "fakes" - what is fake about copying an idea that was already copied?!

I find it ridiculous that people are paying £200 plus for them on ebay, I bought my one from the great British high street and its very good actually, I don't plan on wearing it forever so what is the point in having the one with the logo and spending so much money!

I'm not sure that there is anything that hasn't been done. Most things seem to be reworked and modernized things from the past. I think the high street stores are considered to be copying Mcqueen becuase he's the one that brought it back and made it big, and I'm sure the high street stores wouldn't have them if Mcqueen hadn't done it.

GOD WHAT A FASHION SNOB!
So presumptious...first of all its not from Topshop, second my point was that the skull scarf is not an original idea in the first place as McQueen took it from elsewhere....so why would I think its original to wear it? I never said that.
I got mine ages ago just because I liked the design and wasn't prepared to spend all that money on something that was obviously going to be no more than passing trend.
Sorry you got your knickers in a twist over it!

Else you can call the Mcqueen stores and ask if they ship overseas...

Could someone tell me how I can tell the real ones from the fake? If I have to buy it on Ebay I dont want to end up with a fake one.
Is the small one available in the stores still & how much is it?
