Sure thing! It was $210 and $227.59 after sales tax. They seemed to have a lot of colors too which is always a plus but the coveted black and white wasn't there. I think I may go back for the blue and cream, it was quite lovely.

^ luxx i think it must be in the job description at mcqueen shops to be a a-hole! yours sounds lovely. Although i'm on the waiting list for the black and white, i picked up a vintage black and white scarf recently and am now thinking maybe i'll get the fuschia instead. plus then i wouldnt have to wait for it. hercule all you can do is ring and ask them at the store. the lady i spoke to was really helpful, they may send it over.

I'm in Australia and I'm going to call Alexander McQueen NY today to purchase one of these gorgeous scarfs but I was wondering if this is the fuschia that has been discussed here

I saw that photo on an ebay auction, and I'm really sorr, but I can't remember!

It was me that saw the fuschia, but I looked at so many of them colours, and just so much stuff in general that I really can't remember what colour the skulls were. I *think* they may have been blue, but I'm not 100%

I love my skull scarf, i really hope it dosen't become a 'trendy' thing though...

that would really ruin it for me.

Oh I doubt it will ever become a full on trend. Its the kind of item only a few people will appreciate and even with people like Sienna Miller or Kate Moss wearing it I doubt it will really catch on. Already someone has accused me of being "morbid" for getting a scarf with skulls on it.

Besides you wear yours so wonderfully pucci_mama I love the Silverado and scarf combo. Very very chic!

Well I just called Alexander McQueen NY and ordered one

I spoke to Shaun, who was absolutely lovely. After reading some of the posts I was expecting someone really snooty but he was a sweetie. I told him I was calling from Australia and that we can't get the skull scarf here and he was more than happy to help and put a phone order through.

I got the taupe and fuschia. Gosh I hope it's ok - it sounds lovely. They also had green with red skulls, blue with red skulls and purple with mauve skulls (which sounds divine).

They are also doing small scarf for $90. Has anyone see it? How small is it? I was thinking it would be nice around the wrist like a Hermes Twilly?

I should get it by the end of next week but I wouldn't be surprised if I get it the week after as items coming from the US to Australia usually take a day or so longer than what is expected.

I doubt the skull scarf will become a really big trend, because it's quite expensive for a scarf. and hard to get a hold of. But on the other hand, a SERIOUS amount of celebrites have one, so it depends what you count as overexposure.....

Do you think that if i buy it at EBAY i would be authentic?

From what I found out,hese scarves have not been copied ( yet ! ). There are inspired versions but you can see the difference immediately. There are tons more skulls on the scarf.

I missed out on a beautiful turquoise one with yellow skulls. It was so beautiful !!!

Personally I dont like the black with white skull one. It's too overdone and everywhere.

I also have ordered the small skull scarf in mint with creme skulls. With it almost being summer here I thought it would go well with a plain t, pretty skirt, my white first balenciaga and some sandals ... what do you think?

i love the light creme ones, but imo the true pirate look is the b/w skulls-- everytime I wear mine it toughens up what I'm wearing and gives things an edge...
