There is a lot of nice stuff here, albeit there is too much of the same (as it often is the case in Wang's shows). The laser-cut leather in the finale looked incredible, though. The show was enjoyable to watch, the use of color is good, styling is nice, but the footwear is beyond hideous.
I think this is his best collection to date and he has evolved. The coats and pants were nicely tailored and luxurious. I think this is the first time I have seen him put roomy trousers on the runway. They were some minor flaws , like the hideous shoes , gun holster bag and the over wrought coats in the end but overall it was a fresh and interesting collection. Somehow it gave me a MJ vibe in parts, which is maybe why I liked it lol.
This is a good collection, not great, but not bad either; very much what i'd expect from him. At least he knows who his customer is, which can't be said of some of his fellow counterparts in NY. Glad to see him using some color this time.
Loved it.
The boxy jackets at the start, the bags, even the shoes and the splash of colour, which is refreshing for Wang. Aymeline and Julia Nobis outfits I really liked. Also the leather pants and the laser-cut leather at the end on Karlie, Jaquetta etc.
The show was very military-like which reflected even in the precision choreography of the finale but I enjoyed it.
I really like this collection: From the boots, to the clothing to the accessories (yes, those bags!!!), to even the injection of neon. And if that's the original runway soundtrack...then knock me over and call me Sandra!
I can definitely see this being editorial crux not to mention being lapped up by the cool fashionistas.
