"Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Former "Gilmore Girls" Alexis Bledel is returning to the small screen as a guest star in the NBC long-running medical drama "ER."
According to People.com, the 27-year-old actress will play new intern Dr. Julia Wise at County General in the two-hour series finale of the show.
Other stars appearing in the final season are returning casts George Clooney and Julianna Margulies, who will reprise their roles as husband and wife Dr. Doug Ross and Nurse Nancy, and Susan Sarandon, who will play a patient's grandmother. They will turn up in the March 12 episode.
Bledel is best known for playing the daughter, Rory, for seven seasons of "Gilmore Girls." She also appeared in the 2005 film "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" and its 2008 sequel "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2."
