Aliona Doletskaya

^^^ Mirik, it can't be Nov. 1997 issue - Vuitton Graffiti line came out in 2001.:woot:

I love her and think she is doing such good job at VR.

Has anyone seen the BBC documentary abou the launch of Vogue Russia? She looked so different there or its my bad memory  but i loveeeed that she fought hard for them to use an original cover image of a model looking very Russian, as opposed to the Julia Ormond re-print from US Vogue that the publisher soo annoyingly was pushing for.
She stood her ground and i loved that.

I really do think she would be perfect choice for US Vogue once Anna retires.

^ she looks incredibly cool there!

I've just watched and read her interviews from the beginning of the thread, and I must say she impressed me, I love listening to well educated people who actually have something to say! And what an amazing job she's doing in making VR one of the best Vogues. Also I like how her style can vary from cool and trendy at times, to elegant and chic!

Russian Vogue Editor's Trail of Death and Scandal

SafariScreenSnapz011_02.jpg

Aliona Doletskaya has been hailed as potential successor to Anna Wintour atop U.S. Vogue. But there's a side of the Russian editor's life you didn't read about in the Times.
Wintour lately appears to be pushing back hard against rumors she will leave Vogue. It was against that backdrop that we received a tip guiding us into Doletskaya's past.

Wow, that is some very serious and heavy stuff. :ninja:

I'm not too impressed by that jean outfit she's wearing. Her style seems really uneven to me.

Hmm, interesting article... Portraits her as very strong woman (but that's the vibe I've always been getting from her, anyway) and somehow makes me like her even more.
