i love mucha..art nouveau in general
gorgeous details and poses and expressions

i love charles dana gibson as well...mucha must have taken some refrence from gibson...the expressions especially

it would really be a shame for them to have to be deleted...
 
i never knew he designed 'objects' or that there is a Mucha museum in prague (now i have one more reason to want to travel there)

:doh: Sorry ChrissyM...I forgot about crediting. I got them a few years ago, and I just spent 10 minutes trying to see if I could find them again. No bother though, go ahead and take them down. Here's another picture, of the braclet he designed for Bernhardt for her play "Cleopatra".

And here's another piece of jewelry Mucha designed for Sarah Bernhardt...a diadem (like a small crown) of pearl-encrusted lilies for her play La Princesse Lointaine circa 1895.

OOOOHHH :heart: one of my favourites!

i didn't know there was a mucha museum in prague, either...and now my wanting to go there just increased quadruple-fold! :lol: he's amazing. i really love the seasons illustrations too, susie...i used to have postcards of those, but i either lost them or sent them to someone...how i wish i hadn't. but that person sure is lucky ;)
