It's going to be a very good Fall for fashion lovers looking for a deal. Target announced a partnership with Altuzarra on a limited-edition collection of women’s ready-to-wear and accessories for fall—on the heels of H&M's Alexander Wang news.

Altuzarra for Target will be available beginning September 14 at most Target stores in the United States and Canada, as well as on target.com—and an assortment will also be sold on net-a-porter.com. The collection features a mix of iconic Altuzarra silhouettes—think languid pencil skirts and modern bohemian dresses, button downs and jackets that reflect the designer's particular way with elegant modernity—with designs created specifically for Target.

It includes nearly 50 items, ranging in price from $18 to $90 for apparel and lingerie, and $30 to $80 for shoes and accessories.

I guess he really needs the money!

I'm sure the money helps greatly for a younger label. I am however more certain the massive amount of publicity his label gets is an even bigger draw, especially now Net-a-Porter are involved. That means that now essentially his brand, name and the collection are shown and can be purchased worldwide. That's massive exposure and his label is being paid for it. I suppose it's a no brainer if your young label needs a jolt.

not sure how i feel about this dress. it's $90. reminds me of an issa wrap dress, but i bet it isnt made out of thick silk jersey - looks more like poly.

His sh*tty J. Crew collaboration wasn't enough?

And whoa, that dress preview doesn't even look like his stuff -- the print, the cut -- WHAT?!? Hideous.

I honestly don't understand how people get hyped over Target collabos, especially NAP. The quality and junior sizing is just a hot mess.

that dress is great...
if it jersey polyester, that's fine by me...
it's a 70's style and that is what they used back then anyway...
even halston used it...

yep- i've got a good feeling...

I love 70's jersey poly dresses :P
They are so easy breezy to care for, last forever, never fade or wrinkle, and have a lovely drape...my grandmother's dresses still look brand new

Silk on the other hand...often bleeds colour...:doh: Ouch...traumatic memories of vintage silk jersey...more than one...

I don't care for that dress at all. I hope oversized flowers aren't a running theme in this collection.

More about it with the names for the ad campaign :

Joseph Altuzarra for TARGET
Model : Eva Herzigova
Photographer : Peter Lindbergh

sources : New York Times and Glam.com
quotes : "The New York Times shadowed Joseph Altuzarra as the designer and his retail partner, Target, get ready for the line’s September 14 launch.
For Altuzarra, that means a massive media campaign starring Eva Herzigova and shot by Peter Lindbergh, to be rolled out to broadcast, magazines, and billboards. For Target, the benefits of their designer collaborations are also manifold. It adds a glossy layer to the retailer’s reputation."

The British September issues haven't included any previews that I've seen, perhaps US Vogue will.

Obviously this is just for the exposure/money, because it makes no sense otherwise. There is no Altuzarra "image" that makes his brand recognizable. His collections are just a distillation of various influences (Celine, Dries, etc...). There's just no vision, which is why his J. Crew collab didn't even look remotely different from what they usually sell

true. his work is just a pastiche.

Style.com has a video of Target's ad campaign for the collab.

i like that the items are for women not tweens or teens.
