Could someone explain why she's so popular

I don't get her appeal. She's too mannish to be pretty and too homely to be handsome. A masculine edge can work on some models (eg Seymour), but it's just not happening with Amanda. Whenever I look at her all I can see is a lesser Famke Janssen.
