oh gosh.
thoughts--->i think with his Imagine performance, david archuleta kind of won everyone over. even the judges who seem to be slightly biased (even simon, no matter what he says!) However, i feel like now everyone is starting to get worried if that was just a one time thing. So, while i voted for david until my family made me hang up the phone, i think he's gonna have to pull out all the stops soon to prove that he can do more than just sing well, he has to prove that he can really be that all around american idol type of character. ....and im really pulling for him so i hope he does!
Jason Castro is really sexy to me haha so I'm biased when it comes to him. i dont know if he'll win the shoe but i definitely think he'll go through based on the performance. (and that outfit! and those eyes!)

My bet on the bottom three is ramiel, chikezie, and carly. I'm thinking chikezie might be offed because he's just a little old fashioned. I always love the risks he takes but i'm thinking he may be going home.

i couldnt agree more about david archuleta...i am such a fan of this boy too...he has such a warm, beautiful voice...so tender and controlled for his age...and a gorgeous personality....so humble and sweet...but i definitely think the last few performances have been lacking, especially as everyone else is really stepping up their game....he has the most natural talent of anyone there i think...but he is going to have to work hard over the next few weeks to really blow people away again....i hope he can do it..although i must say he's very very young...and this is a tough business....so even if he doesnt make it through to the final, i still believe he has what it takes to have an amazing career at some point down the road...i'd buy his record in a second...

i really love jason castro too...he is just cool cool cool...such a great vibe...so relaxed and soulful and unique...he has the perfect image too imo...he is just a 'star' already...he knows who he is and he's consistent every week....i'd definitely buy his album too..

i also adore brooke white...she's my favourite of the girls...i know she doesnt have the strongest voice in the competition but all together as a whole package she is just divine....i think she could do so well writing her own music, sitting down with a piano or guitar and singing from the heart....folk/acoustic/country stuff...i can see her having an amazing career...and she, like jason, is already a 'star' in terms of image and consistency too...she knows who she is and she sticks with it...something about her just makes me want to keep watching her...i want to know more...she's radiant..

what david cook did tonight was sheer brilliance...i have always thought he was good but tonight i really felt his appeal....he never really 'spoke' to me before...but this was flawless.!...i'm interested to see more....

no one else really does it for me...well except michael johns...i could see him fronting a band....he has great potential...

syesha and chikezie are talented but boring...nothing we dont already have in the industry...

i love country music but kristy lee does absolutely nothing for me...there's nothing original about her...she seems like she just stands up there and tries to sing like leann rimes....i think it's her time to go...

carly smithson is very talented...definitely one of the strongest voices in the competition...but again nothing really stands out for me....her image doesnt appeal to me and her vocals are always a celine/mariah/whitney synthesis...definitely good, but nothing original...

oh and ramiele...sorry...but completely forgettable...and always pitchy...she doesnt seem to have a strong idea of who she is as an artist...nothing is consistent with her...song choice is usually bizarre....her vocals have potential but i cant see her being very successful....as awful as that sounds..

but really im just hoping its a guy this season--the guys are gooood. jason and the 2 davids should be top 3.

i love dolly + loved this show...i thought everyone did surprisingly well actually...

highlights for me: david archuleta + michael johns.

also good were syesha (definitely her best performance yet) and david cook (this guy just gets better + better.!) i love brooke no matter what she does...the girl could sing the phone book and i'd eat it up with a spoon.. jason is gorgeous too but this wasn't his best performance...

ramiele and kristy lee need to go imo...way overdue...kristy is just becoming a joke

I completely agree! I dont know why i havent come in here to discuss it yet!
I was saying (not sure if i said it here or not) that with the couple of weaker than usual performance, david archuleta was going to have to step up his game to prove that beautiful-ness of his voice on imagine wasn't just an accident. and he did it! His song was BEAUTIFUL i was really proud of him.

jason was good, really hot as always, andi personally loved it, but i see why the judges didn't bow down to him or anything. it was just okay, you know.

I have this vision of the final two being david archuleta and michael johns, and i was just thinking about how drastically different they are. ones 17, ones 29--completely different generations and aesthetics...just an interesting thing i noticed

brooke was great, syesha did better than usual but i dont really like her very much..her voice doesnt really do it for me even though shes undeniably good.

and ramiele and kristy lee. i mean, come on. i feel mean saying it but they're both going to have to go home soon, they just dont really measure up!

the eliminations are in three hours here and im excited to see what happens (and to have more dolly parton--shes so adorable!)

white-->it was sad how sad remiele was but i really didnt see her competing for much longer. i was kind of surprised about brooke though. because shes so all american i didnt think she would be bottom three! and wtF*** is up with kristy lees note for her seat in the bottom three. now i REALLY dont like her. shes gotta go.

i havent actually seen the show yet...just looked up the spoiler for the results..

in white ---> i agree about brooke...i am disappointed that she was in the bottom 3...i adore her....but i guess it's fair enough....she really did nothing original with 'jolene' last night and especially compared to some of the knockout performances [the 2 davids and michael] i suppose she was left hovering somewhere near the bottom...but maybe this will be good motivation for her to experiment a bit more with her performances and particularly with the arrangements of the songs....i really want to see her stay in the competition...i'd be really upset to see her go...i just think she needs to switch it up a bit next week and make sure she does something a bit different with the song....

my mom and i were saying how hard it must be for someones ENTIRE life to be dedicated to american idol for months on end and then all of a sudden youre eliminated and what...you just go home! i think that initial period of going home would be really difficult on anyone! But i was glad to see chikeezie show up in the audience this week!

but, i gotta say, tonight was amazing.

white--> jason castro absolutely stole the show. ive always loved him, from the very start, but have always just kind of accepted that he wasn't gonna make it too much farther than the top 10, just because i wasnt sure america is looking for his type of performer. However, i think he's absolutely winning americas hearts (especially the ladies! ) and i'm positive that he'll be through another week.
david cook was really good but reminded me of like...i dont know, just something annoying. I loved the 'give back' on his hand, even though it was a little cheesy. i kind of agree with simon about the pompousness, but i also deinitely have to admit that he just doesn't sing the type of songs that i usually listen to. hes a bit too rock and roll for my taste so i think im naturally put off, just because i dont listen to ANYONE who sings like that, not just david cook. his voice is great, his style isnt for me.
i was really disappointed with brooke..she kind of just seemed..out of it.
uhm, david archuleta was great as usual, as was michael johns (though it wasnt his best)

im thinking bottom three will be syesha, carly, and brooke.
and maybe syesha is out?
