The singer has earned six 2008 Grammy Award nominations related to her work on this album. The album itself is up for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. "Rehab" was nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Female Pop Performance. The singer herself was nominated for Best New Artist. Producer Mark Ronson's work on the album earned him a nomination for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical. There are reports that the singer has agreed to perform at the awards on February 10. These reports indicate the singer is planning to do a Soul and Motown medley and is weighing the possibility of a duet with some American stars particularly Kanye West. The nominations are credited with bumping up the sales of "Back to Black" up by 48 percent in the United States where the album in mid December was at the number 82 position.

I'M LOOKING FORWARD HER GRAMMY AWARDS PERFORMANCE!!!!!!!

HQs !!!!!

Amy Winehouse lets her newly blonde hair down while visiting BFF Kelly Osbourne for lunch in London on Sunday.
Wino was looking quite sporty wearing a pair of classic Reeboks and matching tracksuit. :yuk:

When asked what they were up to, Kelly said “Amy is popping round for Sunday lunch.”

I can understand that she probably got bored of the dark beehive, but it really suited her and this blonde...doesn't.

She only lives down the road from me, it's strange seeing all these pap pictures with places I know in the background.

REALLY Rosie ? Lucky (or unlucky) you.:woot: What she does she look like in the flesh : her hair, hair complexion, her figure..Is it the same than on pictures ???
Please,tell us more. :)
You must be pestered by the papz all the time though.

I found this beauty article rather funny,so I thought I might as well share with you.^_^ Although the hive is history now.

How-To: A Honey of a Hive
Beehive.jpg

For those of you saucy Bella donnas who strive for a hip beehive that stars such as Amy are making chic again, here's an easy way to recreate this punkier and slightly messier version of the popular '50s hairstyle at home.
There's no doubt that you can use a wig, like makeup artist and hairstylist Yvette Beebe did here for Halloween. But if you want to rock a hive with your own hair in under five, you'll need:
  • a styling spray
  • a comb
  • a set of bobby pins
  • firm hold hairspray
To read my four-step guide on how to build a beehive at home, read more
  • STEP 1: If possible, don't wash your hair the day you plan to create this style. It's helpful if hair has a little bit of natural grease in it. The first step is to divide your hair into two sections: top and bottom.
  • STEP 2: Next, spritz the crown of your hair with a styling spray and then tease it underneath to create airy volume.
  • STEP 3: When your hair is nice and stiff from all of the back-combing, turn the bottom part of the hair that you just back-combed and get ready to pin it in place. But here's the crucial part — before you secure it, push the hair forward so that you create some height. When you've got that beehivey look, begin securing it in pieces with as many bobby pins as necessary so that it holds.
  • STEP 4: Lastly, gently comb any fly-away hairs back and mist the heck out of your entire head with a hold hairpray . It won't move much, but that's the point, isn't it?

Amy Winehouse Goes Platinum! Love It or Hate It?

amy_winehouse_300x400.jpg

Hammond / Purvey / Splash
It’s been months since Amy Winehouse’s album Back to Black went platinum, and now the singer’s followed suit, trading in her signature dark locks for this new blonde do, which she’s been showing off around London. And while the past 12 months have been filled with surprising events in the singer’s life, including a secret Miami wedding, a suspected stint in r***b, and the arrests of both herself and her new husband, Amy’s new look may have shocked us most of all. But we want to know what you think. Tell us: Should Amy get her hair back to black, or do you think the new do lightens up her look?

Love the "Sweet Jesus, you look awful" look on Kelly's face , who by the way, looks a bit great in those pictures.

I'm not convinced to have fully understood what you meant with your previous statement .
I'm afraid Amy is mortal just like everyone on this planet. But perhaps her music will survive her, although she's still young (she'll be 25 this year) and I hope she'll be singing for many decades on.
I'd really love to see her live in concert.
