Ann Demeulemeester Shopping Thread

i dont know the exact address but it is on ON LAN STREET, in Central HK... if you know where D-mop or Martin Margiela is... its on the same street...

if you know where harvey nichols is in Landmark its across the street from there, you will see a small alley with steps leading up to another small street, between Marks and Spencer and Joyce..

it isnt the easiest street to find but if you type in ON LAN STREET at www.centamap.com they will give you a map... hope that helps...

I had been grumbling away to myself that I couldn't afford the new season Raf knits I wanted and then I found these beautiful end of sale bargains at Start, to cheer me up. Had to come and brag!
They were both £60 (more than 70% reduction) and they are both beautiful objects to behold in the flesh. I think the orange and grey knit shown here under a white jacket is the same one Baizilla has. Anyway it is a bizarrely complex cut and looks surprisingly nice with a white shirt underneath. For any other Demeulemeester-lovers in London, Start (on Rivington Street) still have another version of this in red and black stripes for £60 (size L).
They also have a gorgeous olive green moleskin blazer (no idea what that's doing in a SS collection) for £250 that I can't afford at the moment, but strongly reccomend.

Address, please?! I will be in London in a month. Sale or not, I'd like to check out the store. Thanks!

Here's their website

It's a slightly tacky shop but I think they are currently the only place in London other than Liberty selling Ann D. I didn't have time to lok at the A/W stuff yet but I think they have a fairly big selection in the basement.

[If anyone knows other London Ann stockists please post here]

Harvey Nichols (only womenswear I think..)

Selfridges

Browns

I just got back from Antwerp and was lucky enough to be there when Demeulemeester re-opened her store with the complete Fall/Winter collection. I have to say that I could have bought the whole collection (if only my wallet was so deep). However, she only had few pieces in XS so I was spared having to make too many decisions. I was also shocked that the men's shoes started with size 42. Luckily the boots I wanted were also available in women's. I ended up going a bit crazy and spent too much but I have some great things that will be in my wardrobe for years to come.

Anyway, the store is great, the collection was great and Antwerp was great!

Did you run into Baizilla?! Oh, and I DEMAND pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for all you ann demeulemeester fans, theres some blazers at the barneys warehouse sale (nyc). I saw a black in a small for 270 (retail 1000) and a white medium one (i guess the same price). I dont know if thats cheap, it appears so to me.

I thought I've picked up all the XS sizes from the store already

I hope you had a nice trip.

I'm pretty sure Selfridges don't do Ann menswear anymore. In fact they don't sell any menswear worth having any more except Margiela. They even got rid of the Y's concession this season. I couldn't see any men's at first glance in the Ann booth in DSM but will check again next time I'm there.

Thank you for that. I am trying to strike down as many stores off my London shopping list as possible - one down.

Apologies, DSM actually has an excellent men's selection and
slightly better prices than Liberty.

I walked by Ann Dem in Hong Kong today but i didnt have my camera and i didnt have time to go in so i just snapped a quick picture with my phone... i will get better ones next time i actually have time to shop...

Thanks, Monty! Your phone camera is pretty decent! We are lightyears behind the rest of the world in terms of cell phones in the US. We are like a third world cellphone country.

Cheers for the pics, Monty.

I'm trying to get my sis to take some pictures of the store as she's in HK and will be for a while!
