It's wierd with Ann because her biggest flaw was that the debate of if she is or isn't photogenic infront of the camera but the whole time she was infront of the TV cameras and looked amazing.

Maybe it was her posing. Her recent pics are looking better and better though and her biggest strength is the catwalk.

Good point. It is weird. I think it is when she's in front of the camera to model she doesn't know what to do. Instead, like Jay said, she does what she thinks a model should do instead of just being herself. She's soooo pretty in regular pictures and on the show. It's hard to think that she chokes under the pressure because she was an athlete. Ann is a mystery. Too bad. She had potential.

Like many of the contestants have confirmed, the best shots never get chosen since Tyra and Co have already preplanned elimination. The show is pretty much BS based on drama and nonsense. Ann takes amazing pictures, her portfolio at Elite is amazing.

I don't buy that. To the very least, Ann for example gave them the ammunition to do that, did you see the interactions between Jay and Ann in alot of the shoots? In the ones where she had a good pic, the interactions were quite good. Like the group topless shot, or the dual personalities Mustang shot.

But the Tokyo motor bike shoot, the Tokyo kimono shoot, the spider shoot, the very first bikini shoot in Tahiti, the roller disco shoot.. just to name a few... you could see through the interactions with the photographer and Jay that they were trying hard and wanting to help her and there was frustration all round for everyone. Basically, you could tell it was hard to get a good photo until they riled her up.

It wasn't like they were always saying "yes, yes, yes lovely darling, amazing" with Jay saying "The energy was there, that was the best shoot so far" and then they'd get to panel with a terrible shot.

Sorry, if there was any way that it could be true, I'd love it to be so, but I just it's more just a case of sour grapes from the models after being eliminated. Not in Ann's case though as she has gone on after the show and done well for herself. B)

I don't disagree that there could be a possibility of favouritism of certain girls because of the drama or their backgrounds. I think Toccara from the same series is a good example of someone who they kept for so long and then used a weak reason for getting rid of her because they knew a heavy girl wouldn't win the show. So why drag her along all that time? And then in the next series they didn't include the other plus size model who also auditioned in Toccara's season, because it would be unfair for her to be up against girls who are smaller.. so then why drag Toccara along in the season before?

But with Ann, you could see that getting a good picture was an issue for her. You can't deny that as it was the main Ann "storyline" while she was on the show. Unless you are suggesting that the producers and Tyra sabotaged her whole stint on the show by making her take bad pics on her purpose to give her that "angle". (her other main storyline being her ups and downs with Eva.) On Norrelle's note that she left Ann in Tokyo when she was elimated it said "please take a good pic!". My point is that if Ann wasn't known for taking bad pics, they wouldn't have been able to show a bad pic and pretend it was the best they could get.

It was pretty obvious that it was an issue from her, from what she said and what everyone else said. Did they choose the best pic everytime? We will never know. But she did extremely well to get 4th considering the photos they chose for her. It showed in my opinion, that the judges recognised her other strengths like her personality, her in person beauty and her walking skills.

If they had a best of the best series with the top 4 of each series, competing for the "America's best top supermodel" season, Ann would be better now. B)

Ann did post on FORT asking if we ever considered that even photographers were let in on the storyline of each girl ... something along those lines.
Its my personal belief that they marked out Eva to win and had to give Ann some problems right from the beginning because she was obviously most modelesque from the start.

I think Elite snapping her up when they never touched any other ANTM girls is one of the evidences of this.

The 4th picture in post #469 is sexy. Ann has a beautiful cleavage in that pic. Love the outfit she's wearing as well. Very alluring picture. .

Overall, I don't know to like her or not. But she is compelling to a certain level.
