I think people shouldn't reduce '80s fashion to cliches such as bold shoulders, power suits and vibrant colours! I mean, they were prevalent, but there were other types of fashion.

Who said I was talking about bold shoulders and power suits? The silhouette of the shoes is what bugs me the most. The shape of shoes even 10 years ago has changed a lot, especially for stilettos. Those look like something from Aldo. The promo picture is the worst though. It's too obvious

It would be nice if they sourced 80s clothes which isn't that difficult

Pointy pumps were not around in the '80s? All you have to do is google some and you'll find some vintage pairs sold on eBay. Besides, the shoes probably won't be in the shot, anyway.

And yes, I really wish they would use some vintage clothing. The promo outfit is too obvious.

I didn't mean the fact that they were pointy but the fact that they didn't have that shape of pointed pumps in the 80s. I can't explain it. I find that shoes from early 2000's downwards had a really different look and structure to current styles. It's picky but well, this is a style thread!
