Aquascutum F/W 06.07 London

This label really is catching up to Burberry ... there was a lot to like in this collection ... and a lot more sophistication than might be expected.

i think what makes them similar is that they both have rich british history...

i think what distinguished aquascutum from burberry is that aquascutum is these guys are pretty good designers..bailey is more of a stylist, imo..yes, they both pushed volume lately..bailey did it via trapeze coats, which is not so new, these guys did it through more modern means...

I love aquascutum and have since it's beautiful plum-tartan short trench in its first season. Yes, I agree there were some quite boring looks but achingly wearable, I love the cut of the trousers and even the shoes. Beautiful again, one I can see I'll champion into the future.

I adore the looks clavdia posted Especially the first and the third. The whole collection is so crisp and beautiful I think, and I must agree with Charlotte - this is infinitely better than anything I saw in NYC.

You probably never heard of Burberry until they revamped the brand and put it on the runways.

couldn't agree more. There are some really nice clothes here, as distinct from the looks that appear on the Burberry catwalk.

It seems to be widening its market, with some nice clean stuff and some fancy ones.
Dunno which one is better, this or the last collection.
