Ashley Greene

Ashley Greene turned heads at the 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' premiere, but at what cost did her stunning promotional tour looks come? For starters, Greene did a marathon fitting for her lengthy press tour to account for some 40 knock-out items.

"It took 8 1/2 hours," she admits to PopEater. Even so, she still had her stylist scrambling for a dress the night before the big premiere. "At my house, I decided I didn't like [my dress] anymore," Greene said on Monday evening at the premiere. "Today they had to entirely tailor this dress."
While the results were stunning, Greene admits, "I am driving my stylist crazy."

Also on Sunday before the 'New Moon' premiere, Greene had another marathon with her hairstylist at Parlour on 3rd. The Twilight-er had her hair extension re-tightened and decided to try out eyelash extensions to work it on the red carpet.

"She was in the chair for like two hours," says an onlooker. "She had her fox terrier Marlow on hand to keep her company and she passed the time at one point doing a radio interview for a Chicago radio station." Now that's multi- tasking!

Ted Gibson Shares Ashley Greene Styling Secrets

Ashley Greene is a natural beauty, and makes us mildly jealous from time to time. Want to know why? It kicks off with her super shiny hair that she trots out even when she's wearing a horrendous outfit, and ends with her enviable figure. At least we can get the hair figured out: her stylist Ted Gibson recently spilled about one of her red carpet looks to The Beauty of Life.

In an exclusive interview with the blog, Ted Gibson talked about how he created Ashley Greene's red-carpet look to celebrate her Maxim cover in November.

"We thought about it being sexy -- but we didn't want it to be too overtly sexy," Gibson said. "Sexy enough, almost bedhead -- but controlled bedhead."

For styling, I was surprised that just the basics were brought out. It's a perfect example of when patience and experience add to your hairstyle, instead of massive amounts of time and globs of products. Gibson used his own haircare line when styling Greene, but you can use any product with similar qualities:

1. A Clarifying Shampoo: Gibson used a color-clarifying shampoo in Ashley's hair and toweled it dry. I'd probably use a cold water rinse if I didn't have as much natural shine, which I, um, don't.
2. A Texturizing Paste: Use this to add volume and hold while blow-drying your hair.
3. Medium-Hold Hairspray: Keep your locks in place by misting it with hairspray. I've been loving Got2B Freeze, but that's because my hair is insanely frizzy. Really, anything will do.

The part that really brought Ashley's hair together, Ted Gibson said, was actually her haircut. Days before the event, he admitted, they had taken her hair up from well below the shoulders to something sleek and refined. With the dead ends gone, Ashley's hair was more gorgeous than ever. Trim away, friends!

What's your opinion of Ashley Greene's hairstyle? Would you try it?
