peoplestylewatch.comMark.‘s holiday ‘magalog’ cover, featuring spokesmodel Ashley Greene, appears effortless — but in truth, it took a lot of work.
“We did five or six completely different beauty looks in one day,” makeup artist Mai Quynh, who created Greene’s looks, tells PEOPLE. “That means applying and removing looks back to back. Ashley is such a professional — she’s very patient and makes a great canvas.”
On the magalog cover, Greene wears a jewel-tone smoky eye (thanks to mark.’s “Star Status” eye shadow palette, out in November), a little shimmer on her cheeks (from the “Light Show” illuminating powder, out in October) and a champagne hue on her lips (mark.’s “Lip Click Luxe” layered with Coral Cream “In a Whirl” lip gloss, both available in November). “All of these are seasonal trends you will definitely see this holiday,” Quynh shares.
However, there are two trends in particular she’s especially excited about: bold eye colors and berry lips. “For your eyes, applying jewel tones is a new beauty must,” she shares. As for that perfect pout? “Try a glam, vampy lip with an easy-to-apply, long-lasting lip crayon like mark.’s new ‘Make It Rich’ crayon in Royale,” she suggests.
Greene is lucky enough to be able to pull off any trend, Quynh says. “She has great features that are perfect for playing up all the bright, dark and bold colors that mark. is launching this holiday season,” she shares. “She’s such a beauty chameleon.” Lucky lady!
thefashion-courtAshley Greene is the August cover girl for NYLON Magazine and celebrated the issue with a bash that she hosted last night at Blok nightclub in Hollywood.
The 25-year-old star from “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ has been hard at work on her new movie “CBGB”, but all work and no play would eliminate some serious fashion moments for the rest of us.
Ash hit the black carpet wearing a nude monochrome look consisting of a sleeveless Emilio Pucci sheath mini dress, which she paired with python-embossed mega platform pumps by Casadei and a nude patent leather Christian Louboutin “Miss Loubi” clutch with nude spike embellishments and a signature shoe clasp.
She added a splash of vibrant color with a red polished manicure before finishing off her blushing look with brushed rose gold disc earrings and a matching collar necklace — both pieces are from Karine Sultan.
This was a very classic and simplistic chic look for Ashley. It was flattering and she looked very nice, but considering her eclectic editorial for the hip magazine — I was expecting something a little funkier.
With that said, her make-up was flawless and her hair was even better. I’m in love with the current reddish tone of her wavy tresses and hope she keeps it throughout the “Breaking Dawn: Part 2″ promotional tour this November!
