I haven't ordered anything from ASOS in a while beacuse the shipping and especially the customs duties (I live in a non EU country) were almost as high as the amount I paid for the clothes! It was absolutely insane, I paid like $ 40 - $50 just for shipping and customs. Anyhow, my sister is living in the UK and I now let the order be shipped to her as I'm going to visit her very soon.

How is the quality of their shoes?? I just made my first order, but I was hesitant about ordering shoes because some of them are so inexpensive, I wondered if the quality was crap?

This is coming on a trial. I zoomed in and it looks kind of sheer, but I love the style. I am hoping once it comes it will not be sheer!

These are the first pair of shoes I was going to order. They are "real leather" so at least they aren't plastic....

I recieved my dressed today and they're both absolutely fantastic...love them already. The white one needs to be worn with a slip unterneath as it's a bit seethrough and the maxi dress is seriously the most comfortable piece of clothing I've ever owned, it's defintitely going to get a lof ot wear this summer ^o^
I'm so glad that both dresses fit as a return would not have been an option for me with the expensive taxes and shipping.

party vixen i have to say i adore that dress too! and i think its one of the most elegant pieces ive seen on asos lately! enjoy it! i would love to get one too!

by the way when you receive the dress could you let me know how long it is? i just find their measurements not so accurate and im quiet petite so normally find things to be longer than they claim lol

So sorry for the late reply. I've been mia for the past couple weeks - no computer. I don't have a measuring tape but the dress does fit true to size (I bought size uk 8). To give you an idea I am 5'6 and the dress ends about 6/7 inches above my knees. I highly recommend it. Definitely my favourite purchase of the year .

how much do they usually charge you for a custom duty for a US address? i've shopped at ASOS like twice but i was never aware of that until now. does the cost show up on my bill?

I think the purchase needs to be over a certain amount before you get charged custom fees. In Australia, it's a purchase of $1000+ and then you start getting charged custom fees. I've never paid customs on an ASOS order. If you do pay customs though, it gets done as a seperate charge, I think...

I tried to access the site but it didn't load properly as there was so much traffic so I gave up.

Belowen 1000 AUD? That's cool, where I live that amout is really low so it almost never pays off for me to order online...hate those stupid customs fees.
