And a bit of fashion history ...

Thank you Astrid for all the pics, and Spacemiu for starting this thread. While I do see a lot of talent here, I'm a bit put off by the homogeny of a lot of the younger designers' work...looks to me like most of them could have interned with Bernhard Willhelm. Anna Aichinger looks promising though (well, you can't see much of the clothing, but what gorgeous photographs...).

thanks for all the pictures, again! i'm in bavaria (munich), astrid.
we have a whole thread dedicated to gernreich, by the way.

it totally escaped me that Rudi was Austrian.. thanks for the pics _astrid_ :flower:

Does anyone know when Viennese fashion week is? Does it still exist?

Sorry about my last question I didn't realize the answer was on the last page oops.
I hope to see some of you there!

there is nothing here that i find new, different or at the lest bit interesting. these look verey trashy as if they were done some years ago at the hieght of versace vulgar period in fashion.the best designers are those who have the innate ability to capture the spirit of the moment in thier work or those who are ahead of thier time.the best designers from vienna are mssrs lang and gernriech. right now thier are two moods running through fashion. and both of them are sophisticated and elegant it may be the dark sobriety that is championed by marc jacobs tisci, kawakubo, or even theyskens or it may be the streetwise elegance a la pilati, ghesquire,or even a relatively unknown as andrew gn

it's interesting stuff thomas kirchgrabner does, some of it is very wearable..:)

Wow, Thomas Kirchgrabner is really cool... his stuff looks not bad at all! I've known Elfenkleid, but haven't seen their latest stuff.

And really, most of the stuff from the beginning looks very avantgardistic... not too wearable.
