Avril to Model

Modeling isn't really her thing--it would be very hard for her to transition to that now.... but the spread in Harper's Bazaar was very nice.

Give the girl a break. I don't think she's the best cut out for modeling either, and we all know here that until the Red Sea parts again, she's not going to be Daria or anything close. But if that's something she wants to try, then so be it. We've all had pasts; no one here is the same person with the same mindset that they were five years ago. That would be like considering someone who's interested in fashion but has (at some point in their lives) never cared a thing about fashion at all. In which case, we'd all be hypocrites. So stop acting like you'd be above that, because if you had the chance, you'd take it too.

It's funny ppl think she has all that class just because she advertised herself as a punker and bashed teen idols like crazy. She didn't even write her songs like she always claims she does. The ideas might be coming from her, but there is no way she is as talented as Michelle Branch or anything. Isn't she the one who said she couldn't paint herself silly or wear high heels ??? From being very natural, she is now one of the most superficial girls you can think of. And she's not all that classy like people think. She's just good at covering it, thinking public will favor her for her very skillful advertisment (and they do favor her!). (I do know her -but not like I'm one of her friends or anything- so I know what i'm talking about!) May be it's just my opinion. But I'm so sick of the idea.

This is what happening to stars. They first started out so nice and pure; later on they become a gimmick. Instead of focusing on their art, they focus on money and publicity. They forget about what they loved and do things people love. I have no objection to Avril's modeling. But to think she thinks so highly of herself (another Gwyneth for us!). That's stars power to you!

I could see her doing advertisement or some editorials, but definitely no high fashion or runway! She could look good in print though. Her harper's ed wasn't bad. She's not ugly. She has a nice facial structure and a thin build. She def looks better now than she did when she first came out.

It is like one day all the celebs went: "we should be on the covers of EVERY magazine, not only tabloid!". Then they started to dictate published images. Now celebs is in style, fitness, health, foods,... magazine. I'm bombbared by them. Not all of them have cover girl quality, but because they are celebs, they get to do what they want. So much for loving art, they r into makeup and money. Of course Avril looks better now than before. She was someone who used to not wear skirt to become someone who spent 2 hours every night with fruit on her face!

I think... she IS pretty, either in that harper's ed or her face itself.. first time i saw her face, i like it, not herself, but her face.

Maybe shes grown out of the whole tough punk rock style and decided to change her style and wear something more mature for her age. I just think that she looks so much better now then before.
