i think it's cute if done right, but i agree with lena, that it's a bit old and kinda done with as soon as kathy ireland or freeman or whatever the hell her name is killed this with her ugly **** bags loaded with crap. that and rampage.....all those ugly clearane bags at my local macys right now.
I like it if the doo-dads hold significance to the person who's carrying the bag. For instance if you love sea life, then I get seeing coral and fish dancing around the bag. But just randomly sticking on robots and discoballs and strawberries and skulls, seems less like style and more like "I grabbed a trend and stuck it on my bag." But now how would you know the difference just looking at a person carrying it? Oh well, maybe just the wearer knows!
True, Lena, it's been around for a long time - but then so are many other trends.
I don't really like it, it looks a little bit childish and cheap to me - if you have a beautiful Hermès Kelly, why do spoil it with adding something that resembles the key chains of pre-schoolers?
This is interesting. If done wrong it can look cheap or childish but in the right way and on the right person it seems quite sweet. I like the idea of one cute little keychain on an otherwise plain bag or perhaps just a scarf. Maybe thats too old fashioned to qualify for this trend though
^I couldn't agree more, that scarf has gotten so played out lately. I also feel like its really too large to look proper. I was thinking more along the lines of a nice printed scarf tied to a relatively classic bag. Very Grace Kelly.
