Leopard Prints

I've such a love/hate with leopard print. The fabric and quality of the work has to be excellent or else it just looks cheap.

Over the weekend I saw a bad vintage leopard bag while out antiquing ... but honestly, I see very little bad leopard. One that comes to mind--a friend's purple fuzzy leopard print slippers :blink: from some teeny bopper store whose name escapes me ... maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places, but most of what I see is good ... :p

I like this leopard Cardi from JCrew

i think it is just easy to wear. it blends in with a wardrobe and works with denim, grey, black, cream, red etc. and it implies "wild" without being chaotic in pattern or colour. unless it's purple or red or pink! but i love that too. tastelessness is a whole other type of freedom.

I thought I'd never say this about an leopard-coat-outfit, but the first outfit from alessandro dell acqua is awsome! Don't think I could pull a coat like that off tho, but I did like the outfit on her.

i like the print on bags, shoes and parts of shirts.. but coats or full print on shirts is too much in my opinion

i saw daniela pestova in my school today...and she had the best leopard prints shoes...they were the best i've seen...shame i don't know where she got them...

And how would you feel about a leopard bag worn with a leopard skirt ... :ninja: :evil: :lol:

hee hee, that comment made me think of The Nanny. I saw this episode today; matching boots, purse, and a red coat that she wore on top of the outfit had leopard-print-fur accents. ^^;;

Those 2 leopards are 50% of Fran's wardrobe for the episode.

:lol::lol:

;)

Reason I mention it ... I did it this week :woot: As mentioned above, I'm carrying a leopard bag this season--I like to change my bag twice a year, so that means that I will occasionally be wearing two, yes two, animal prints together ...

And the answer is, it worked quite well :p The bag is pictured above, black on tan, and the skirt is a very simple tan leopard spots on black Joan Vass pencil knit. Yet another fashion rule broken to smithereens :p :D :lol:

:boxer: :muscles: :king:

^ Actually I got the prints reversed :blush: The bag is tan on black, and the skirt is black on tan. Anyway, the mirror image thing works :p

Those pics and Fran's voice are pretty gruesome:sick:

i bought a leopard cardigan a few months back and have been surprised at how wearable it is. i'd like to get some leopard flats - they seem like they would be wearable and not as 'loud' as a whole shirt.

Yesturday I brought the coolest 60's style leopard print coat for 15 quid. 10 minutes after leaving the shop walked past a girl with the same coat. :doh:

from the Kate Moss thread..
