i hate the hair and i generally have a problem with klein's dark, overfiltered and overprocessed aesthetics as of lately. i used to love his work for US vogue and bazaar, such as this below, it had lots of drama to it yet it looked so natural and authentic... well i guess you can't stop progress

Nothing special, interesting or unique. Throwing Kate and Laura together in a campaign does not automatically make it amazing, in my book. In fact, this looks very dated to me.

To be honest I find myself liking this almost by default. It's nothing new or interesting coming from Klein, but I like how deliberate it all is. It's refreshing to see something so obviously produced, where you can see with absolute clarity the contributions that were made by all of the people involved in producing these photos -- from models, to post production, to lighting specialists, to hair and makeup...

In this day and age when far too many campaigns and editorials seem to have gone the route of "stand there looking like you just took a shower and threw on a fortune worth of clothes that you don't care about. Now look away from the camera." it's nice to see the level work that was put into this.

That said, I would've liked to have seen someone other than Kate paired up with Lara. She's looking a little rough in some shots.

This is the worst I've ever seen Kate look in a campaign. I blame the beauty styling, because I wouldn't want to think that I'm looking at the moment when she stopped being able to bring the magic to her images.

Kate looks so haggard and Lara looks so stiff.

If they really wanted supermodel chemistry, Christy, Stephanie and Yasmeen would have brought that in heavy doses, not to mention the iconic weight of being OG supermodels. Not that Kate isn't one of the top, but she's so overexposed these days and everywhere that her presence in anything becomes common rather than exciting.

If they really wanted to make a statement with racial diversity, cast a couple of unknown South Asian models-- I know there are some stunning girls of South Asian background. If Wang has any pull with the campaign, it would be wonderful for him to cast Chinese models as a statement of support for his own. But, I'm used to Asian designers not being particularly supportive of their own at this point.

But this-- I'll agree Spike, that at least the campaign looks of effort, of work and of thought-- even if it all looks overly-processed overall. I''l always appreciate that.

I think that shot of Carmen and Gisele has more true sexual tension that these overproduced Klein shots
