Kate should, honestly, be the centerpiece of this campaign just for histories sake of The City Bag.

That said, Balenciaga is still cancelled for me, personally, until Demna dips.
There's a reason that Balenciaga doesn't have primary feature on the Kering Quarterlies. Flatline.

As iconic as this bag is, I feel like there is a way more dynamic way to shoot and style it, than this.
It's had many years of success, and is one of those things that you really have to own to understand as a fashion piece. The smarter campaign strategy would have been to revolve this around either Kate (who popularized the bag) or to roll with a focus on Nicole Kidman, who could add sophistication to the cool of the bag, which is more casual. Amelia's pose is super typical and feels like something we've seen before.

Much prefer Mario Sorrenti's photographs in colour for this campaign, as opposed to the first batch in black and white. Kate Moss will always and forever be a good idea but I'm kinda into Nicole Kidman here too. She's looked the same in every recent campaign but GREAT!
