Ballet flats

burkesilver - i put zipsoles on mine and highly recommend it. i am in ny a lot and i walk a lot and tend to be a fast, hard walker so i def. put wear on my shoes. if you don't - they maybe it is not necessary, but for ~$30 i think you are better off. the soles are so delicate.
also the zipsoles prevent you from slipping around - which happens with flats.

^random question about zipsoling on flats....do you have it done on the entire length of the sole, or just the ball of the foot as you would with heels? I've been wondering this...my question also applies for wedges...

^^ yes the entire length for flats and prob. wedges too - but i haven't zipsoled any wedges.
the only shoes i have zipsoled are lanvins and two pairs of my louboutins and only b/c one pair i wear so much and the other were SO slippery.
i can take a pic if u like.

burkesilver: Go for it! At least for me, grip is so important and when your zipsoles are getting worn I'm pretty sure you could have the flats re-zipsoled and wear them for a long, long time without wearing them out. I'd say it's definitely worth the money, especially on expensive shoes. I just got mine recently but haven't worn them yet and as soon as I get a chance I'm going to take them to have zipsoles put on. :)

Do you guys put coverings before wearing your ballet flats? I have a pair by Anne Valarie Hash and I waited until the bottom is worn...

^^I can't buy the Lanvin flats online???
Do they have an email, so I can contact them??
I don't want to ring up... if anyone have their email, please let me know.
Thanks!!! =)

Lanvin flats owners - are you getting zipsoles or some other protective covering for bottoms of your shoes? I didn't for my first pairs & they've held up very well despite being worn tons, but I'm wondering if I should for the new pair I just received.

What are zipsoles?

I had my first pair protected at a shoe repair shop, and they cracked the sole. Needless to say, I won't use them for my new pairs.

cutie j - u cannot buy online @ madison style - u have to call.
have u tried mytheresa.com

augustus - u can put the zipsoles on after. i did this with my first 2 pairs of lanvin and they still are protected.

Mona13-thanks! They run TTS for me, and they come in other colors too(red, orange, blue, green, silver, gold, etc).

I just got the red patent Lanvin flats! I was worried because its quite a stark color for shoes...

out of curiousity...what do you wear with them? (for anyone who has red flats)

By the way, I want to get the pink leather lanvin flats?? Is it nice in real life? Do anyone have the pink patent? Which one is nicer? Thanks...

mcross - very cute - i haven't tried them personally, but i will have to make a trip to kirna.
kirna zabate carries lanvin as well, so u could check with a sa about the quality in comparison. they are really helpful there.

red sole - they only had them in dark brown in my size at the saks near me. my sa suggested a 8.5, hope they fit!
post pics when you yours.

^^^Wow! They sold out quick! If you want the black ones or other colors check the tory burch website. They have some available. Just be careful because they have a NO exchange, NO returns policy:shock:

Hey, what size do you usually wear?
