vogue.comI live in a small town in north of Peru. It's a beautiful place full of history, food, music, parties, landscapes, wonderful sunshine, and ancient fashion. But it gets cold here at night, and "I had enough from the dreadful cold". So I decided to make a full skirt. I was wondering how to do it until I saw the Balenciaga SS RTW 2026, and I simply fell in love with balloon skirts. So I was researching the history of this design and looking for patterns. I want to make it with local fabrics that woman weavers make with old tools. They have an exquisite sense of color.
