that is almost ancient history at this point...
fashion ( and the whole world ) is SO much faster now...
for all the obvious reasons - internet, media, etc...

so we have fads more than trends...

in nyc i see almost every girl wearing the same thing one weekend....
and then suddenly, it's just gone....
everyone has moved on...
just like that- all at once...

you can just tell this, even if you didn't already know, by reading everyone's reactions here...

the market demands NEW NEW NEW all the time now!...
it's def different than in years gone by...and a little ridiculous too...

i agree about the ridiculous part...
but it's just a sign of the times imho...

I don't know - I think fast fashion, itself, is way past its sell-by date.

We can't keep consuming at the rate we do/did, it's as simple as that - so it would make a lot more sense for designers to do fewer, better, collections per year and to let their visions evolve, rather yo-yo in an ADD type of way.

The zeitgeist is still there, it's just that people are blindly following people who can't sense it...

Wow, does anybody else there REALLY LOVE this collection ? It's the first time I love (almost) the whole Balmain collection, especially the colors It's such a shame it's gonna be too expensive again

the clothes were beautiful, the shoes weren't, but this was very prefictable

What gets me about Balmain is that as the hype has grown to sickening proportions the collections have gotten progressively worse.

Sometimes I think that Decarnin is really just testing everyone, seeing how far he can go and how much he can charge before people come to their senses and stop piddling themselves over cheesy crap.

I love this show simply because the models always look so amazingly pretty. Although I couldn't care less about the clothes. On wrong person, and only the wrong persons think it's worth to spend much money on such tat, this looks absolutely horrendus.

I'm very disappointed. The only pieces of clothing that I liked were Kasia's whole outfit, Anna S' pants, and some models black leather jacket. The rest is either meh, or just plain gross

I wish that Decrnin would at least change the silhouette the shoulder pads to at least keep shoulder pads interesting.

Nothing new. as always. Decarnin works for russian girls who still love DG and Cavalli style from 2000s. But DG changed and russian girls still want to wear gold sequin dresses and rich clothes. Balmain is suitable for this girls and woman
