Balmain F/W 11.12 Paris

I love this. It's not as tacky as previous collections and the styling is quite good.

All this crap is better than last season, at least there are more models (it would be perfect with MCB)
I guess it the same, let's put some white boots, some fur here, shirt that show all your skin, some bling bling, and already we have another Balmain collection, so easy.
The same with Balecianga, with the difference that Ghesquire shows us before he can do good stuff, Decarnin, NEVER.
But, he sells so...

The second jacket/look in post N°16 reminds me of this Givenchy in idea.

it's not quite "same old same old", but it ain't all that new either... anyway the white boots are plain wrong, unless you fancy lady gaga's dont-be-a-drag-just-be-a-queen!

some nice and editorialesque pieces (like the uber-embellished oversized "knit" on Anja)

btw, have you heard Decarnin didn't show up at the end of the show? some say he was exhausted, some are already speculation who-knows-what (no way he is going to Dior. just NO WAY!)

Decarnin at Dior?
What???
Yes, i see it, militar dresses...with flowers, now is Dior!

Decarnin skipped his final bow and was a no-show backstage. "He's tired after working on the collection. He's not here. He's resting," said a Balmain spokesman. - Fashionologie

I think Christophe should have at least showed up. I mean, how tired does one have to be to not even show up for the culmination of all that work?

I don't recall Valentino or Lagerfeld ever skipping one of their shows because they were too sleepy...Oh well.

Waouh, his behaviour definitely shows in his work: uninterested.

Well, Valentino is too much of a gentleman to be tired(he doesn't seem to be the type that stays in studio until very late for finishings)
...and Lagerfeld... Karl's a robot! he never tires either

there's some weird peieces in this collections no? stuff that doesnt seem to "fit" like Freja's blue jacket

As much as I like Balmain I'm pretty sure I've seen this before.

the posts about christophe decarnin have been moved to a new thread in rumour has it...
please keep the talk in this thread about the collection...anything off-topic will be deleted...
