Balmain F/W 12.13 Paris

I detest the squareness of the jackets, they're far too blocky. Geometry is beautiful, but not like this.

Well, at least they changed something.

Nice collection, yes. But I don't see the point to replace a designer if you want him use the same silhouette etc.

But they replaced Decarnin because he went to a mental hospital, no?

I like how Olivier's managed to retain the DNA but still make it new and his own.

This is so beautiful ! My favourite pieces are the ones that have been embroidered and beaded within a cm of their life, but yet it does not feel too much. These are all statement pieces, but ones that can be worn on the street. What I love about Rousteing is that he keeps a certain level of taste while still having that badass touch. SO good. I love this guy so much !

Even though I think it's pretty good collection and way better than everything that came out oft he house in the last 3 years. I just can't wait to see the day when I'll be totally surprised by a Balmain collection.

i love the jackets and the short dresses, the best that balmain always does and obviously the boots :D

I love most of this. It's so sleek and clean. I do miss Decarnin but this is still the same DNA (unlike new Valentino).

I think overall they bring such couture craftsmanship back to the house as you could all the detail in each look. However, I missed Ahhhh Ohhh factor from Dacarnin it's more fun and electric.

i still love the vibe of decarnin. i love his rock'n roll aesthetic_tight pants, leather jackets, loose tops. i miss decarnin.

And it will change a lot of our opinion when they are seen on the street!! Can't wait!

They make clothes for red carpets, editorials and for editors to pose in streetstyle photos. Even if someone could wear this stuff more than once the astronomical price makes it risky to do anything other than encase it in glass and stare at it from time to time.
