Its good to see something rich and sexy yet sophisticated , after collections full of matronly hitchcock b*tches. I like this better than Decarnin's Balmain, it contains elements of the old , but more refined and the trousers are just WOW , the white bolero and high waisted flares was fresh!
Always the same. The worst are the prices, especially those relating to basic and graceless clothing that will be sold at prices that insulting intelligence.
This one is a good example, the denim skirt + white sweater.. Oh, please
I'm not floored by this collection but it is certainly a big improvement from Decarnin's offerings. The rock and roll vibe is still present but there are also signs of the classic Balmain in the craftsmanship. I also like the fact that there also colors like baby blue or egg-shell that I haven't seen in any recent Balmain collection. It is a nice debut from the new desinger and I anticipate what he has to show in seasons to come.
I wish Rousteing had steered away a bit more from the image Decarnin created for Balmain. I love the rocker chick look and I think it makes sense for Balmain to stick to the formula that made it so much desired but a lot of it looks too similar to all the other more recent Balmain collection. Still it's definitely an improvement and especially the jackets are divine. I love all the gold applications, too. But that denim maxi skirt is truly vile!!!
