Bands You Would Like to Re-Unite

I could be wrong, but I believe they still play together. I actually saw them in concert a couple years ago.

to many the LiveAid 8 highlight was pink floyd's reunion set, where Roger Waters joined his bandmates for the first time live since the early 80s. A reunion tour would be awesome but supposedly Waters & Dave Gilmour still are not communicating. also, it would REALLY be something if the floyd brought founding member Syd barrett back- he hasnt been onstage with them since about 1968!!

^Yeah, once you start bringing back the dead, there are no end of possibilities! Several of which have already been mentioned. To really make the point, Charlie Parker with Miles Davis would be a good reunion. So would Bob Dylan with The Band, or The Hawks if you like. ;) :innocent:

Good list. I know these bands have reunited at times, but they need to do it again!

Also, Stone Temple Pilots need to get back together.

and would I be asking too big a favour for someone to create a time machine and take Adam Ant back to when he was  in the 80's :innocent:...and put him back with the ants ;)

Elizabeth Fraser and the Cocteau Twins. I'm sorry no one(except Kate Bush) during the eighties made such enigmatic pieces of music as they did.

I SECOND THAT!!!!!

Cocteau Twins - my ALL-TIME favourite band.

the unicorns

i doesnt sound as though they will reunite in the near future, but here is what they are up to: (from pitchforkmedia.com)

"fans thirsty for a taste of that trademark Unicorns zaniness can check out "Do They Know It's Halloween?", a part-spoof, part-tribute to those grand, overblown charity songs we're all so familiar with, written by Diamonds and Adam Gollner. What started as a goofy idea has blossomed into an actual all-star UNICEF benefit single, to be released by Vice Recordings as a digital download on October 4 and as a CD and vinyl single on October 11. Diamonds and Gollner recorded the song with Redd Kross' Steven McDonald producing, and then solicited vocals from a galaxy of famous friends, including Beck, Karen O, Thurston Moore, Peaches, Devendra Banhart, Win Butler and Regine Chassagne of the Arcade Fire, David Cross, Malcolm McLaren and Leslie Feist. So basically it's an indie version of Live Aid.

Penner has also been keeping busy, working on the score for the film The Hamster Cage, by acclaimed Canadian director Larry Kent, which premieres at the Montreal World Film Festival tonight, August 26. The score features a variety of guest vocalists, including Richard Reed Parry from the Arcade Fire / Belle Orchestre. "The music is very inbred," he described. "A lot of the songs just kind of refer to one another. Part of that is just the fact that I only have a limited amount of creative material inside me, so a lot of it is self-referential." Hey, come to think of it" the Unicorns' stuff was pretty self-referential, too-- how many songs had "ghost" in the title?! Penner has also been working on solo material, which you can sample at http://www.secretunicornsforum.com (uhh... guess it's not so secret anymore). "

The Libertines, I miss them so. I'm sure it would contribute to Pete's recovery.

Oh, and I'd quite like to see Hole aswell, I guess.

Adam and the Ants
The Clash
The Libertines
The Jam
The Police

In the book Kinds In The Riot Highs And Lows Of The Libertine, it ends so well,
here it is:
'Whatever they do individually, in my opinion there's no question that The Libertines will be back, all four of them, on a stage in the future, Can you imagine? A real time for heroes...'

That is by Pete Welsh fantastic book!
