- all-occassion/perfect black pumps (3"+ heel)
- black wool jumper
- black sweater turtleneck (cashmere)
- black cotton turtleneck or rollneck
- black cowlneck longsleeved tee (a staple with a twist, a step up from a typical black tee)
- a wideleg formal black trouser
- white vneck loose tee (short sleeved)
- black plain longsleeve tee (mainly for layering)
- grey short sleeved tee
- grey long sleeved tee
- grey turtleneck/rollneck
- a bold hued short sleeved tee
- white oxford button down/nice white shirt minimalist blouse
- black wedge boots
- long sleeve plain black cardigan
- black high-waist pencil skirt, unadorned
- basic black vest (rag & bone style)
- black high waist dress pant skinny style (tuxedo pants)

Year-Round Basics

- Dark skinny jeans
- Black wool trousers
- White linen or silk cropped pants

Skirts/Dresses
- Tailored black sheath
- Wool sheaths in a rainbow of colors (for those of us who must work in offices)
(I do not really wear skirts at all)

Tops
- Black short-sleeve t-shirt
- White short-sleeve t-shirt
- Black cashmere turtleneck
- Camel-colored cashmere cardigan

Outerwear:
- For a Chicago winter, one must have a Northface parka
- Bright, happy-colored coat for cooler but not frigid days

Accessories:
- Simple thin belt
- Rope and leather belt for spring and summer looks
- Wolford wool tights for fall and winter
- Pearl necklace
- Pearl studs
- Cartier stainless and gold Tank
- Chanel classic flap bags
- Bottega Veneta hobos

Shoes:
- French Sole ballet flats (the most comfortable shoe in the world)
- Black stilettos
- Slouchy suede boots
