I think Behati's great too. One of my favourites and I hope she'll be able to do VS Pink while still doing more high fashion editorials. She deserves it!

Now that Behati has been doing more VS work, I see her becoming a commercial model. I never saw her as much of a HF model; only a few shows were befitting such as Stella McCartney.

agreed, she was never wildly successful in high fashion. the campaigns she has gotten usually are from the more commercially-oriented brands anyway, the brands that want wide appeal like tommy and dkny. i think she does as well in high fashion as she does because of her personality (still a viable theory for people who don't buy into cheap goss!) but it was always going to be either going commercial or fading away for her, i believe.

Oh, well, that makes me sad. I liked her on runways. But that's just me being selfish I guess. And I do like her for VS Pink, she was so cute in those videos.

they're right to say that she was never TOO successful in the runways but i'm hoping for more success for her in the future. i just love most of her editorial work but she is doing really well for herself for vs. i'm sure vs is treating her very well.

and i agree with cambry. i mean, behati has always had a commercial appeal and i've never really seen her suiting a high fashion campaign as well as her peers. she is doing amazingly with v.s. pink though, so good for her. she's earning money! if she becomes strictly commercial, so be it. now, if she were a stunner in high fashion and was suddenly pulled into all of this v.s. pink stuff and popped into commercial work, then i would be like... WTH?! but she's never stood out in high fashion to me. sure, she manages to look lovely on the runway, but i can't ever pull her out among the rest of the girls and say... oh, behati rocked that runway! or look, behati rocked that editorial! she is, though, a great model. don't get me wrong. she's just great for commercial, and for brands such as lacoste, and tommy. i loved her campaigns with them. i think her s/s '08 for lacoste was my favorite. simple, but cute.

Behati is too 'cute' for high fashion. She doesn't have odd appeal like others who do HC shows and all that. When I saw those VS PINK party shots, it made me realize how much of a fun girl she is. I like seeing her smile more than with a sterile look on her face. Don't get me wrong, though: I love seeing her on the runway-especially in Blumarine this season

i get what you mean about a "less original" look but i definitely enjoy her editorial work. she's great on the runway and she definitely sells what she's wearing. however, i still think that she could be more successful in print work, whether it's eds or commercial work.

i can't deny behati can be seen as conventionally beautiful, like many of models who ruled fashion before supreme and prada, but i think that her wide jaw makes her very hf, like kate et al. i love it!
but as long as she is getting reasonable jobs (no swedish mail order catalogs, please), i am happy to see her.

^^^^^ That's kind of how I feel too. Especially since I wouldn't be caught dead in VS anything. But more pragmatically they probably do pay a lot, it's a steady job, and she has to eat some time!
