Belstaff F/W 12.13 : Ewan McGregor, Janis, Karmen, Maud, Ymre & Ben by Craig McDean

I like this even though I prefer the modern, minimal Belstaff approach (see S/S 2008 by Meisel).

It's a great cast (Karmen, Janis Ancens, Ymre) but I don't understand the Ewan casting. Not to mention the fact that he looks bad in the photo he's in.

I keep getting reminded of Burberry Prorsum when I see these clothes...I kind of wish even their ad campaigns would go this direction.

The creative director, Martin Cooper, has spend 16 years at Burberry before joining Belstaff (I think his influence is especially visible in the fw 07 collection) and now he is turning Belstaff into that cool brand that everybody wants Burberry to be. Suck it Burberry, this is much better. Ewan McGregor is the sh!t.

okay, i luv their jackets or whatever, but why on earth is it Salvatore Ferragamo copy? same interiors, same colours, same mood even Karmen is the same... you know, i guess for companies to repeat another brand is the same sort of thing than for celebs to come in the same gown on red carpet. it`s an epic fail, considering the amount of money they spent on production and publishing...
