Berets

^madewell is a new store from jcrew
madewell1937.com :flower:

what makes me sad about madewell is that you can't order from them online...
they have stores in TX, NJ, CA, MA and NY

also, you can get 25% any purchase in stores or by phone is you mention lucky breaks :flower:

I scored a really lovely black knit one at H&M, only $6!

:flower:

I adore berets*

They are certainly a staple of my wardrobe
and I find myself wearing them with a variety of things....

I managed to find a amazingly stunning red one in HM
when Madonna was designing for them
for about $5
-
very Eva Green a la 'The Dreamers' when she is hancuffed to a gate.
The rest of the ones I own come from Vintage shops and Paris.

in new york there are loads of cheapies from streetvendors, now the quality may not be the best, but if you want a cheap one fast, theyre good for something.

I've been on a desperate search all season with no luck. Can anyone point me to an online store in the US?
Love the gray one on the previous page but am afraid it's Topshop.

I love them .. even if everyone and there mum is wearing them .. i still love them .. were i live youll see at least 20 people daily at least wearing one .. comes with cold british weather of course haha .. love them for ab d hair days just hides most of it :)

I wear my eggplant one almost everyday, warm, soft, functional... ++chic

i loove berets. personally i think the floppy ones suit me better but i love when someone pulls a rigid wool of really well.

I love beret, but I find difficulty to pulling it off. Somehow it looks uneasy on me, like i'm trying to hard to be chic.

I love them too, but so far haven't mastered how to get them to sit right. But I wear it anyway haha

I love the beret look, but not rastafarian style a la Ashley/MK Olsen.

J Lo had a really cute winter white one she wore with a black s/s sweater under a white blouse to some award show ... I'll try to find a pic. It was so adorable.

I've been searching for the perfect one forever and can't seem to find it. With the ones I've tried on, they don't really stay on my head. lol.

The knitted berets are so cute, I'm looking into buying one cos they look good all season round. My wool flower beret is a favourite when it's cold outside. It's black and has a flower on the side. I found a picture similar to the one I have but it's not exact, mine is black and the flower is on the side.
