Best Self-Tanners

Coppertone Endless Summer FOAM...this works really great on me, I use the medium/dark color and it's never looked orange. The lotion does take like an hour to dry, as someone stated earlier, but the foam dries in like five minutes and streaks less. Also it doesn't feel as much like you have stuff on your skin like it does with the lotion. ALSO it's so wonderfully cheap!

Has anyone ever tried those self-tanning wipes?
I've seen them in the shops, but am a bit sceptical if they would work.
They work very well for me, I have very light skin, the only problem is that it's not quite enough for my face+neck+chest+arms so it tends to get uneven when I try to make one be enough.

My opinion on this:
Kanebo honey glow is very good for light skin, it takes long to dry but if you are patient it's worth it.
Clinique is darker but can look very orange.
Lancome is ok, many different types. forgot which ones I tried.
Clarins for the face is good.

Want to try St. Tropes, sounds good.

After reading the posts I guess Ill try Lancome. Ive never use tanners before, so I hope, I ll be satisfied with it. :flower:

girls do you wanna know the best tanner its SUN FX spray on tan its the best i get it all the time iam really pale and i look great everyone compliments me when i have it done i look alive it lasts 1 week or i have found longer even though u cant do it yourself you need to go to a place were they do it its worth it, you come out lovely brown bronzey colour i love it thats i get now !!!

if the lotion/foam self tanners dont work use a powder bronzer. i have the bobbi brown bronzer and i absolutley LOVVEE it. and im a red head so i have fair skin and i still use the medium shade of the bronzer. but it works great. you should definitely try it out--and i think its only like $30 or so

also..chanel's bronzer has a little schene and it is an actual bronzer too. it works awesome too..

..hope i helped--good luck!!!:D

My brother is using the Clarins for face and is very satisfied. For myself, I hesitate to use it.

for a face cleanser im sure thats fine..if you see an signs of rough skin or weird reactions just stop using it..

Well the thing is i'm already using a creme on my face to avoid acne and it makes my skin very dry... anyways ill try it out and let you guys know afterwards thanx!

So, I've tried it yesterday night. Woke up without any acne rash :), the tan isnt really there though. Maybe it takes more than one time cuz my brother as a nice tan with this product.

So, the Clarins Express tanner in gel is a very good product. MAke a really natural tan, not orange at all and is non cosmogenics, and contains no oil so it doesnt cause acne or pimples :) recommeded

Self Tanning. HELP!

Hi,

Right, I am white, EXTREMELY WHITE. Ghost like even.

I use to have a complex about showing my legs, so every summer they were hidden. Luckily I have gotten over that now, and I love to show my legs off :D

BUT, I am so white, its embarrassing. My legs are like snow.

I am seriously considering having a fake tan. I dont like sunbeds, so dont even suggest please. lol.

Can any of you recommend a good self tanner lotion / spray ANYTHING!

Thanks

Im in the UK by the way. So UK Brands!

There are three new ones on the market that are supposed to be similiar to the professional spray tans:

Lancome Flash Bronzer Airbrush
Neutrogena MicroMist
LOreal Sublime - can't remmber exactly what its called but it a spray/mist

Since they mist on application should be easier and you don't have to rub it in.

Sorry missed the line about UK brands...some of these may be available.

Nothibng compares to a real sun tan but I use a fake self tanner on my face right now so.. lolol

White skin as his own charm though ;)

Well it doesn't really matter what brand you use, just be sure to get a spray-on one and ALWAYS moisturize before applying self-tanner, otherwise it will leave strange marks like zebra lines etc. Oh and always wash your hands really carefully afterwards because it looks terrible when your hands are orange!

YES YES ST. TROPEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it is great because of the green in it... it doesn't look orange you do look a bit dirty after using it but thats why i use it at night and shower the next morning....

also, you can see where it goes. and be sure to exfoliate like crazy and moisturize especially with st tropez.. they even make a self tanner remover just in case

I think I HAVE to try this...

Here's my verdict on everything I've tried:

Nivea self tan spray: This was ok, a good colour but I found that it got difficult to clutch the bottle properly whilst spraying when your hands got wet with self tan. The bottle kept slipping about.

tropez_selftan.jpg
St Tropez: A little streaky but the colour is nice - very brown. Stains clothing when you haven't washed yet, takes forever to scrub your hands afterwards (I know - gloves lol)... I find that the tan has gone in about 2 days which is a pain.

autobronceante.jpg
Lancome Face Gel with Vitamin E: Fantastic, not too dark, leaves your skin feeling nice. Skin tans about an hour after application.

Lancome Cream: I haven't used this for ages (not even sure if thats the correct pic but the bottle was very similar) It's nice but a little orange occasionally streaky

Estee Lauder face bronzer and self tan - awful! The colour is completely off, especially if you apply foundation afterwards. Its a new product so they will probably improve it soon.

Simple Cream:
Ok, very light though - probably good for a person who doesn't want a full on tan

100.jpg
L'oreal Sublime Bronze tinted self tan: Fantastic colour and just great because it gives you an instant shimmery and natural looking tan so if you're going out you look fab straight away. When you wash it off you still have a tan. Lasts about 5 days which is good!

My personal fave is L'oreal Sublime Bronze Gel: It lasts a week, leaves your skin feeling soft, non streaky, natural colour, has vitamin E in it (I love vitamin e cause it heals the skin).

I am very pale and just wanted a touch of color so I used one of the building tans/skin revitalizers from Jergens, (about $5 bucks, pretty risk free). You use it everyday so it builds a touch of color w/o streaking. I've been pretty happy w/ it, being so pale, anything too dramatic just makes me look like I've had an unfortunate encounter w/ orange paint.

Acne & Self-Tanner?

I`m Skin-Type 1 (=palest skin), I have sun-allergy and now take Antibiotics for Acne-Treatment, so any sun-contact is prohibited for me

But I`m so damn white & ill-looking AND SICK OF IT!

What can I do? I thought about buying Nivea Self Tanner for light skin but I`m concerned that the aggressive Peelings & Face-waters I use on my face twice a day (for the Acne) will "wash" the Tanner off - a tanned body with a white face (or a face with streams..) would look ridiculous...or should I leave the face off because I always wear Make-Up anyway?

Please help! I`m in total despair
