I believe she had an interest in fashion before her singing career so all to her for going back to her passion and using her talent and money any way she can.
Beyonce and her mother did have an existing interest in fashion and beauty BEFORE her celebrity career.
You know, who is the LAW? -- who has the right to determine who can and can not -- start up a fashion line. NOBODY! Obviously if a person has the drive, interest, passion, financial resources and backing to launch an apparel line, its going to happen! It may not be to everybody personal taste -- but, hey thats the industry, there are plenty of other labels to choose from, pick one and move-on.
I personally saw nothing horrible on her website. I saw jeans cut for African American females with a logo on the pocket, several down coats and Chinchilla biker jackets. Nothing amazing but nothing horrible either. So I'll chalk up most of the comments to 100% hateration!
These young design students better get used to the fact the scene of fashion production has CHANGED! Everyone with or
without formal training can front and/or produce their own clothing line, especially if they already have a built-in "following" or fan base. It just marketing and advertising 101 people. Beyonce is a brand, Gwen Stefani is a brand, P Diddy is a brand. Something to be marketed and labeled from perfume to sneakers, from jeans/apparel to eyewear. Not happy about it -- sorry, its the reality of the business you're in.
