Awesome products. First introduced to me by Courtney Love last year. Sharon Stone and Kyra Sedgwick are also fans. Absolutely pungent and putrid smelling (that I've grown to love) like acetone or Band-Aids or cow poo, (there are no fragrances added) these are the best products ever IMO.
www.biologique-recherche.com

I use two of the cleansers, Lait VIP 02 (the oxygenating line) and Lait U (for when I'm a bit oily), their cornerstone product, P50 and P50V which helps with many skin conditions, like rosacea, whiteheads, blackheads, dryness, etc.
Also love their masks. They're insanely good, the VIP 02 and Masque Vivant, their serums are remarkable, and I adore the moisturizers. I use Creme Verte Espoir.

They've just introduced a Sensitive line, a gel emulsion and a mask for sensitive skin which I'm aching to try out.

Style.com's Beauty Blog Raves About Lotion P50

P50 Lotion:Life-Changing? Yes, Pretty Much
It’s unclear when the cult of P50 started, although we’d have to assume it was around the time that Biologique Recherche first released the wonder product, which has become the cornerstone of its 40-year-old line. With active ingredients including usnic acid, lactic acid, witch hazel, onion extract, myrrh extract, and sage extract, the toner-cum-astringent -cum-”balancing lotion” occupies a coveted space among beauty urban legends. Many have heard of its transformative powers, although why it actually works remains elusive. “It just balances your skin,” says Shyou Hung, famed New York facialist and the owner of Salon de Shyou in Soho. As one of the first aestheticians to start offering P50, Hung prescribes the tonic to all of her clients, which include a gaggle of models and please-don’t-print-their-names-in-your-article celebrities who can often be seen leaving her Prince Street digs. “It’s really unique,” she says. “It actually makes pores smaller!”—among other things. Essentially a daily exfoliant that effectively removes dead skin cells to allow for cell regeneration, P50 gently purifies, hydrates, and tones while controlling sebum and reducing any proclivity you might have toward breakouts and rosacea (editor’s note: it’s also excellent for pre- and post-shaving care). While it can take about a week to start working and the smell is not for the faint of heart (that combination of lactic acid and onion extract is pungent at best), it can be quite habit-forming. Once your skin has experienced P50, the visible difference makes it hard to go back.

That's dirt cheap compared to skin care prices in Denmark...of course, if this brand was sold in Denmark, it would cost twice as much as in the US :innocent:

But I don't get the P50 lotion...is it a toner or a moisturizer?

It's a Balancing Exfoliator. That's what it says on the bottle. So a liquid exfoliant. You use a toner afterwards.

I use P50 as my toner... that's how my facialist recommended I use the product. I cleanse with the VIP 02 cleanser, use P50, one of the serums, and then finish with a cream. I love all their products- wonderful skincare!

I need it. P50V sounds like me...I hope I can get it on eBay, I don't think too many online shops ship to Denmark

The Ida, try beautyhabit.com.... I sometimes order from them and I think they ship internationally. Otherwise, PM me and I can give you the name of my facialist who used to work for Biologique Recherche... she's based in NY but can def. send you the products and also give you a consult over the phone.

Yes sometimes I dont use a toner afterwards myself, but I feel I need to since the P50 doesnt level your pH after cleansing. What serums and creams do you use? Thanks for contributing to the thread.

I used to order it from paullabrecque.com before I found an aesthetician that uses the line in Beverly Hills.

I found it on eBay for $38, I'll have to ask the seller if she ships to Denmark... beautyhabit.com will ship internationally, but it's a bit complicated and it takes forever.

Letthemeatcake, I believe P50 is supposed to leave your skin PH balanced... at least that's what BR says. I use the VIP serum, silk plus, and more recently yall 02 which is supposedly their best seller now. As for the creams, I love dermopurifiante as well as the EOR cream. I also use the VIP eye cream and Masque Vivant.

Their products are great and I love it that more and more people are coming to know about them... I'll never go back to commercial skincare lines now after BR... I really hope they never sell out for money like a lot of companies...

You use some great stuff! I've been wanting to try the VIP 02 serum forever..isnt it like $200? And the new Serum Yall 02..an extension of the VIP 02 line? I only use the VIP 02 cleanser but the whole line is oxygenating, which is fabulous. I have used the Silk Plus in the past also, liked it, now my aesthetician gave me the MC 110 No. 2 Restructurating Facial Fluid, but I dont know when to use it..it says it exfoliates. My only complaint is that since the serums are spray on, I dont feel it evenly hits my face, but I love the idea so I spritz once and then pat it, maybe unscrew the top and pour a bit into my palm and apply again.
I hope they stay the same also, and continue to put out new products..I'm desperately wanting to try the new Sensitive line!

I love having someone to share my love of BR with! I've tried to turn some of my friends onto it but they can't get past the smell of P50... LOL!

The VIP 02 serum is excellent... it feels a little funny on the face, like it's a bit sticky but I just use a small amount at night, it's supposed to be wonderful for your skin... very anti-aging though I can't really speak to that as I'm 25 but hopefully it's preventive as well. I just started using Yall 02 but my facialist said her clients have been raving about it... it's VERY expensive though! I use it b/c my skin has been on the dry side recently and it's supposedly very hydrating...

I'm not sure but I think you use MC 110 after P50 and before your serum and cream. I agree about the spray... I just spray it into my hand, about 3 sprays and put it all over my face with my hand.

You should def. pay a visit to my facialist if you are ever in NY or even just give her a call... she is amazing and an expert on BR products... she was trained in Paris by the founder of BR himself. Very sweet person as well and I'm sure she'd be more than happy to answer any questions even if you just give her a call... she was profiled on Vanity Fair beauty blog recently....

I know, I love this, having someone to gab with about the line..it's so fantastic! And I also understand about trying to turn friends onto it, although I have gotten my best friend to start using the cleanser and the P50, she's used to my weird fanatical obsessions..hehe. But I was in school to get my aesthetician license actually last year (reading about your aesthetician makes the fire in me come back, because that's so amazing how far she's gotten and being trained by Yvan Allouche, I'd love it) and I brought in the P50V and passed it around the room..hehe. One girl loved the smell, said it reminded her of Band-Aids, everyone else thought it smelled like a household cleaner..ha! Did you start really liking the smells after a bit? I do. The Masque Vivant I also have and I mix it with some baking soda, but I remember first trying it and almost gagging...love it now.

I'd love to try the new Yall 02! All their stuff is a bit sticky though isnt it? I'm very dry right now with the season change. And I'm 26! So in total agreement about it being preventive.

Thanks for the link and your posts. I would love to try your aesthetician in NY sometime, but I better call months ahead right?
