Biologique-Recherche

Sofia Coppola is another celebrity that's a fan. In the pic from Vogue Paris in 2006 she photographed her beauty cabinet and there's two unidentified BR products, one's a serum (perhaps in old packaging with the silver pull-off top, since they're gold now) and then she has the Masque Vivant, a P50, Emulsion Originelle Regenerante, and the Creme VIP 02.

Yea, Sofia is def. one of their better known clients... I think she used to see Aida when she was NY...

It's true about the smell... you def. get used it and after awhile, I almost feel as though everything that doesn't smell like BR products is heavily fragranced and fake... haha... it's weird how the mind works...

Aida is usually booked in advance but calling a month before should be alright... she does have cancellations so if you are flexible with the time, you might get lucky... In any case, feel free to call her if you have any questions about the products as she is really quite sweet and an expert on them... She can also ship you anything you need.

I'm going to open an account with BR. As an aesthetician you must spend a minimum of $1500 to get their wholesale price, but I just love this line so much! I got all the packets and brochures in the mail, their pricelist and they recommend a 120% markup...the creams we use that retail for $66? Wholesale they are $22. I have been reading about the Yall Serum, it sounds so luxurious. The training takes place in New York I believe. :woot:

What?! A 120% markup? That is ridiculous! It sounds well worth it to be a wholesaler... the creams must be like less than $10 for them to make!

Yep. The VIP 02 Cleansers that retail for $85? $36 wholesale.
The P50 is $43 wholesale for the 8.5 fl oz.
Like mentioned creams are only $22, the Creme Dermopurifiante also comes in an 8.5 wholesale professional size, for $65. The same amount for a 1.7 oz!
Masque Vivant is $22. Retails for $66, and the Finishing Serums are $64 for the 1.2 oz for the VIP 02 which retails for $200.

I am going to make it my goal to get to New York for the training and to set up an account...I really want to work for them! Since it's still a "rare" unknown brand to most of the general public, where you do find it, that aesthetician has a huge following, so I'm thinking of moving somewhere that doesnt have an aesthetician with the line. I know it's huge in New York, it's pretty big in L.A. also, SF has an aesthetician I believe....

Wow! That is unbelievable... beautyhabit sometimes has a 25% off coupon and I think I'm getting a great deal and stock up... LOL! (I think they have a 20% off coupon now if you are interested)

I think Aida still trains others in NY but I'm not sure... I'd be happy to introduce you as I know her quite well... In any case, let me know if you do make it out to NY so we can meet up and talk more about BR!

BTW, I also just started using VIP 02 cream... love it! It makes my skin feel so nice!

I've never used this line- but after hearing you guys rave about it, I'm thinking of trying it for myself after December.

Prices seem a bit steep. But if the product delivers, I don;t mind paying.

^ the products def. deliver! They are unfortunately on the expensive side esp. for certain serums and creams but Beautyhabit often has coupons or a gift with purchase so check with them.

Yes but as you know the products are so nutrient-rich and concentrated you need only small amounts..a cream lasts me probably six months easily...so the price is justified, although my cream's only $70...the finishing serums are the most expensive definitely and those arent usually used twice a day...do you use yours twice..and do you apply any serum OVER your cream like they suggest?
And I would love to meet up and discuss Biologique-Recherche! ^_^

Yes, that's true, they do last a long time esp. b/c I tend to rotate my serums and creams depending on my skins needs. The creams def. last me about 4 months if not more and the serums the same. I use a serum and cream twice a day though and apply my cream over my serum. I know they say to apply the serum over your cream but Aida recommended me to use my serum and then the cream so I don't know if it really matters.

The only product I buy often is the P50 and stock up on it when there is a coupon as I know I'll keep using it. I use that twice a day as well.

Is that for Buy It Now? People will end up paying it because they cant find it anywhere, and they're too dense to realize just google their site and send an email to [email protected] and an aesthetician will email you and tell you where to get it in your city (if they have a BR aesthetician in your city) or where online to buy it retail, but for me, I'm going to splurge the next time I'm in NYC, take a weekend training class and spend $1500 to get the wholesale price and the pro sizes of creams and cleansers and serums and masks and all the P50's. :D

Online sellers that I know for retail are:
www.paullabrecque.com
www.beautyhabit.com

Well, most of us don't live in USA, so eBay is the only option...unless you want to buy from a site that wants $25 just for shipping to Europe. It isn't sold in Denmark, so...

Maybe it's sold in France, but it's a bit far for lotion

Sanctum.ie ships everywhere, and it ships for €5 to Denmark. P50V will be mine soon...:shifty:

Oh good I am glad you found a place...and the [email protected] can still point you to an aesthetician in EU. :flower:

I would try the P50V first, since the regular P50 has the most strength, they recommend everyone begin on the V or W strengths. I've used all and find the V to be terrific. Good luck!

I know, but then I'd have to go through them to find one who bothers shipping...too much hassle. I actually just clicked Ireland on the BR startpage, and now I've ordered the P50V - i figured the P50 was too strong to start out with, like you said

Right now I'm using an exfoliating moisturizer...I think I need to find something else, no?

I love the P50 been using for about 3 years and find the Masque Vivant to be wonderful, but smells awful!

I call it the Stinky Yeast Mask. ^_^ It sure makes pores less visible though.

TheIda what moisturizer are you using that's exfoliating? I think anytime to switch up your routine is good. And glad you chose the P50V!

A tip if you're sensitive (I do this sometimes if I've just shaved) is to apply the P50 on dampened cotton, so it's less tingly.
