Blackberry

Does anyone in the UK have a Blackberry on Pay & Go?
I've only seen the Pay Monthly options.

a friend's dad works for bb and told me to not get the storm (when i was thinking of getting a bb and which one to get) because like any new technology (like when they had the ipod touch) the first one always comes with so many flaws and i should wait for the second (and improved) version. i'm so happy with my curve tho

The battery runs out so quickly. I got the guy in the store to do the power saving stuff like turning the screen light down but it still goes so quick that I have to have it on charge at work. But hopefully the second one will be tons better.

Vogue28,I don't know anyone who has it on pay as you go,I imagine it might be expensive, but I don't know.

i know with orange you can buy either the pearl or curve on pay as you go, wouldnt it be pretty expensive though going on the internet etc on pay and go though, when you can get a really cheap plan with 3 and get any blackberry free.

I'm trying to decide between the BB 8900 or an IPhone. I'm leaning toward the 8900 right now because I'm twitter obsessed and twitterberry sounds a lot better then twettie. haha. What do you guys think?

I supose it will be a lot cheaper. I just hate the idea of having a contract phone.
I bought the iPhone 3G on pay as you go, and I only get charged for calls.
But I have a plan with O2, where you get free three minutes a day, 500 texts, and unlimited internet. So pay and go has worked out well with the iPhone.

I'm going to have a shop around nearer to Christmas (when my iPhone 12 month free internet runs out).
Thanks for the info!

oh another question, can you tell me about some great BB aps?

Does anyone here have the 8900? How much do you love it? I'm planning to get it ina few weeks and would love to hear from 8900 users :)

I have an 8900 Curve and seriously, its the best thing that's ever happened to me! ^_^ lol. I've had it for about a month and from the first day i got it, i couldnt put it down. Its just great, and the camera is AWWEESOME :D . Trust me, you will not regret purchasing one.

The apps for the 8900 are pretty good; the facebook app, especially. It is rather easy to navigate the internet as well. The camera is fabulous. It is also fairly simple to sync the 8900 with pcs & macs in order to add music/photos/videos, etc...

My only compliant: the keyboard is a tad small.

So I am looking to get my first Blackberry (smartphone in general, actually). I was interested in the Bold for a while because it looks sooo pretty, but what I have been reading on this thread tells me that maybe I should consider the Curve 8900, which also looks like a good choice. I wasn't aware the Bold has more problems and is that much bigger/heavier.

Since I have a MacBook Pro... and there is no software to help transfer data between the two, how is the Bluetooth? Is it easy to put stuff from a mac onto the the BB and vice versa? Thanks :)

my brothers black berry and I didn't get on very well so i wouldn't get one for myself:blush::D

I upgraded my phone with 3 yesterday, went for a Bold one ,so i should be receiving it tomorrow, sooo excited!

I'm considering a blackberry for a while now. I'm still deciding between the 8900 and the bold, but I'm considering the 8900 since it's smaller and I hear such awesome things about it.
Any more recommendations though?

I just upgraded my Berry from the 8830 i think? to the tour I think the model is 9630? I LOVE IT. Traveling internationally with the berry is soooo much easier than the Iphone.

actually the onyx is a newer version of the bold..and tour...its within the bold family...saw few on ebay.

I decided my blackberry wasn't for me so today I became the proud owner of the htec google phone instead, which im finding just as confusing lol

kuli, i don't upgrade to bbm5 yet, because i think it's still a beta and not official yet, some of my friends have trouble when downloading them, some don't but i don't like to take the risk lol
i feel fine with the older version for now :)
