Blackberry

That's really helpful thanks! Although I'm a bit scared of taking the trackball out

After having my bag stolen (with one-month old blackberry inside it), i have to decide whether to replace the 8310 with the same model or... spend more and get one of the newer versions.

I am so angry I didn't bother with insurance, but I feel lost without my blackberry and need a replacement asap! the 8310 did everything i wanted, although it would be nice to have a blackberry with wi-fi and a better camera.

Shall I splash the cash or stick to a nice simple blackberry once more?!

ALSO, my ipod got stolen at the same time so i might as well buy the blackberry with the best music capaalities and kill two birds with one stone so to speak!

aw, i'm so sorry, that sucks. :(

it depends how much you wanna spend. i also had the 8310 and got the 8900. it is better, but not like a huge difference, to be honest. maybe you can find a 8310 for a good price on ebay?
how much would it cost to get a replace and a newer model?

i totally agree about the music; i always have all my music on my phone. never had an IPOD. :p

Yeah i was so happy with the 8310, and I didn't really see why the new ones go for £££s more when they only have a few extra features!

I keep getting outbid on ebay but I guess I have to persevere... need to find out whether it's possible to get radio on the 8310 somehow and then I'll be happy :)

Ok so i didn't know I could download so much for my crackberry, where can I download all these apps from???

I want a blackberry so badly, but unfortunately I'm still a student and I have a working phone already, so there goes my luck!
But it seems like such a dependable phone, like you'd add it to your life and feel lost without it!

Thank you sooo much. Karma. :flower:

If you're gonna get a blackberry, be prepared to add it to your list of things you just can't live without. I didn't realise I could do this but I ended doing my entire essay on my crackberry and just emailed it to one of my other email accounts at the end. Love it so much.

welcome, it works really well if you set it as one of your quick keys (like the buttons on the sides of your phone) because then you can just press it and it'll snap a photo of whatever is on the screen and it doesn't require clicking into the program. i love it.

My trackball is playing with my nerves tonight  I can do right/left/down but not up :censored:

Have any of you downloaded the new NewYorkTimes app? I did, it launches but it never gets updated  Do you have this problem too?

Can anyone tell me more about the Blackberry Messaging? One of my boo's lives in Canada, and I'd love to text her for free. How does it work? Any cons?

It's basically like an instant message, except your "pin" is your "screen name." So if you were to BBM with your Canadian boo, it would be completely free since that's just included in your data plan! As far as texts, you'd be charged extra.

So, BBM is totally separate from texting. Great. :flower:

Like being able to log on to your AIM through your phone, correct? Is that sort of what it is?

Yup! Except BBM you don't have to log off or worry about getting kicked off like you would on AIM.

Does anyone know if there are any places to download SMS alerts? I'm kind of sick of all the ones on my BB

Thanks!
