Blake Lively (PLEASE READ POST #1 BEFORE POSTING)

why some members insist to pick the same themes over and over again to critize Blake: stylist or not stylist; boobs; contract with Chanel; Anne and Karl new favorite girl....come one people...this is getting ridiculous! get over it!
isn't this a thread to talk about Blake's style? so let's do it!

I just wish some people could give the benefit of the doubt (and this is not only regarding Blake) and not trying to be the owners of the truth, because the bottom line is that you don't even know the girl!

^Technically all those topics are related to her style in one way or another.
But every celebrity gets criticism...it comes with the job...even the celebrities who have nothing to criticize, still get criticized.
Trust me, people will find/create something.

But in terms of Blake's style (stylist or not), hers is quite good.
She's clearly impressing a lot of the higher ups. I think Blake gets picked on, because she's a valley girl.
Most of the other actresses her age who are called "fashionistas" tend to be very non-valley girl (i.e., Carey Mulligan, etc).

Spot on! The stereotype of the LA/CA blonde is always used to try to undermine her "fashion cred" etc. The amount of times I've heard ppl describe her as "any other Cali girl from the streets" & "plain" etc. Also Europeans always tend to get extra points for just being European lol. I like Carey M - she is a plain Jane & theres nothing wrong with that. But I rarely hear ppl describe her as that & when they do its in an endearing way. Yet every other sentence about Blake is that she is too "plain" or the most annoying one "basic" & they use it as a weapon - like wtf!! Most people in Hollywood aren't spectacularly beautiful so I don't get most of the complaints.

I think what bothers people is that she seems to be getting a lot of attention from the most important people in fashion and being hailed as the next whatever - so that's why they are a bit more nit picky and harsh on her. But that isn't her fault! They obviously like her and see something in her and if I or anyone was her, they would live it up too.

I don't think it's ever gonna change with Blake - she's just become one of those girls that bloggers etc. don't like. Whether it's her acting, looks or style - she's just THAT girl ppl don't seem to like for no real reason. It is what it is.

I think all of those things are relevant to her style as well. I like her style (with or without a stylist lol) and I also think it's because she's so bubbly that people tend to misconstrue that as unintelligent for some reason. Unlike girls like Carey Mulligan or Emma Watson

and personally I AM a fan of Blake, but I don't care for the Chanel ads AT ALL! you can like someone's style and not really care much for their craft (for example, I generally like Rihanna's style, but I don't care for her music one bit)

I like Blake.
She is quite fun when it comes dressing, especially event dressing.
yes, yes, sometimes it is tooooo much og boobs and legs
but she looks like she is having lot´s of fun
and that makes her charming.
and she is hot, why not to dress that way...?
HAHAH
I would not wear 90% of her clothes but I am not as hot as she is.

:lol::heart:

This is my ultimate favourite even look from Blake.

I JUST LOVE THAT DRESS!

I watched The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants yesterday. She has always been such a sweetheart but also changed a lot. I guess not many of us could have ever imagined she would become such a huge star back then as she is today^_^

Blake Lively at the TIME 100 Gala in NYC

I must say, I love that she's done something different with her hair. Very pretty!

And apparently:
Patrick McMullan stepped on Blake Lively's dress @Times 100 din & ripped off entire train; she's in bathroom w/ safetypins
:shock::blink:

I actually like the ginger on her and the dress is really pretty.
That sucks about the train getting ripped. But I agree about her being influential.
Very strange. Was this list voted on by the public like last years?

I also thought it was strange that Mia Wasikowska was included. I love her, but influential how?
