With GG ending soon I thought they would try to focus her to more serious roles. If there's anyone on that show who could leave and do bigger, better things it's Blake

I'm more inclined to think, and I trust my instincts, that it'll be Ed, Leighton and Penn who'll be calling the shorts after GG. Blake, I'm sorry to say, I'm not impressed at all with her acting skills, either pre-GG or projects that she's undertaken since and during GG, nuff said

I completely disagree!
So far, Blake has been the one with most interesting roles. She has been working with very good directors/actors, can we say the same about the others? No.... I can't find a good project on Ed/Leighton careers so far, maybe in the future, not sure....
Blake is not an amazing actress, neither Leighton, neither Ed...They still have much to lean and improve but the one who has been taking some interesting projects is definetly Blake.

Anyway, back to the topic: what a beautiful photoshot! Her face is gorgeous!

We'll just have to "agree to disagree" won't we? It's early days in their Hollywood careers for all of them, but I know where my "markers" are leaned favourably towards, and I base my opinions on their acting credibility/performances to date nuff said

I find her voice so annoying, the way she speaks just makes her seem so dumb, but I do think it's really sweet that she loves cooking so much.

I agree with modelspice and I think most of Hollywood does too. Her role in Hick only came after Kirsten Dunst dropped out and she was third or fourth in line for Savages. I don't think she's going to fade away, because she'll be relevant in fashion for awhile, but after Gossip Girl is over I don't know that we'll have anything to look at apart from her fashion-related press. Penn and Leighton seem to be the ones with all the talent. That being said, I'm curious to see what she wears for the Savages premiere since she's been hiding out so much lately I expect her to make a statement.

I wouldn't dare speak for most of Hollywood, but I've seen most of her work outside of Gossip Girl and I believe she is capable of a lot more than some want to give her credit for.

I don't think I'm alone in that, either. She received good notices for Hick (NY Times, even). She also received positive reviews for The Town and Pippa Lee from critics who had probably never seen an episode of GG (Oliver Stone said her scenes with Maria Bello in Pippa are what got his attention for Savages). I doubt many people have seen Elvis and Anabelle, but she's wonderful in it (along with Max Minghella.)

Who was cast first is not as important to me as the performances, but since it has been mentioned I don't believe she was third of fourth choice for Savages. I'm sure it was very competitive, but she was cast right after Lawrence dropped out to do Hunger Games (and Stone noted in a recent interview that they had to work around her GG schedule, which was pretty accommodating of them).

Sorry, I know this is probably supposed to be about fashion. The Marie Claire pix are awesome and I can't wait to see what she's wearing at the press junket and premiere.
