Now this is my idea of an ideal book room! Granted, there's also a sort of sitting/dining area attached, but you get the point.

i like the stone wall at the back there and the wooden beams on the ceiling..
sort of give the cozy cottage vibe to what looks to be a large space..

^i don't really understand your question gius.... but if you wonder if this is real painting on the ceiling... yes it is, in my guess....
not only churches and cathedral had paintings (yes they used to be tons of paintings in cathedrals and churches.... even in antic temples...) but also palazzi, castles, libraries, etc. in Europe.... That was a big part of painters' work back in the Renaissance, Baroque etc.
to me, the best ones are in Italy and France (i know it's easy....)

'Equation Bookshelf' is a simple idea to divide things in priority order... put together the books that you need immediately or more important between (parentheses)! Set others between [square brackets] and {braces}.

Maybe today a beautiful flowerpot will be the most important thing! Tomorrow a portrait of a girlfriend and so on... A different and funny way to organize your objects!
